The Mayor appointed Zeh, Bardsle,- and Wallace. Voted, on motion of Adams that the council adjourn until Monday, May 20, 1913, at 8 o'clock. Monday evening, May 20, 1912. Council met in tegular session pursuant to ad- journment with Mayor Griffiths, presiding, and Councilmen Adalp, Adams, Bardeley, Stun- enberg, Walker, Zeh, present; Shorb, clerk. Petiti ;on of Frank Purser et.a;, praying, that the city vacate certain streets and alleys in the Frost addition to the City of Caldwell was read and referred to the street committee. Bill No. 18, by Walker, entitled, "An Ordinance No 192 entitled, 'An ordinance fixing the fire limits in the City of Caldwell, Tdahoa and providing for the prevention of fire therein, providing for the erection and inspection of buildings therein, the appointment of a building inspector, specifying his duties and compensation, repeating all ordinances in conflict with tLis ordinance and providing a penalty for the viola- tion thereof,' passed by the City Council on the ,13th day of dune 1910 and approved by the Mayor on the 14th day of Tune 1910, was read the first time. A motion was made by Adams that the rules be suspended and the readings on three separate days be dispensed with and that Bill No. 18 be read the second time by title and the third time in full and placed on its final passage. The roll being called on motion, the vote resulted; Ayes, Ada,, Adams, Bardlley, Stunenberg, Zeh. Nays and Absent, None, so the motion prevailed. Bill No 18 read second time by title. Bill No. 18 read third time in full and placed on its final passage. On the ques- tion, Shall Bill No. 18 rasa? the roll being called the vote resulted; Ayes, Ada;p, Adams, Bardslay, Stunenberg, Walker, Zet, Nays and absent, None, so Bill No. 18 passed, becoming Ordinance No 213. Bill No 19, by Bardeley, entitled, "An Ordinance amending Section 4, of Ordinance No 168, 'An Ordinance to regulate building of sidewalks and crossings in the City of Caldwell, Idaho and repealing ordinanve No 65 of said City, entitled, "An ordinance to regulate the building of sidewalks and crossings in the City of Caldwell," passed and ap- proved by the Mayor and Council of said City on the 11th day of September 1905" which ordinance No 148 wags passed by the City Council on the 29th day of November 1909 and ap- proved by the Mayor on the 30th day of November 1909 ", was read the first time. A motion was made by Adam that the rules be suspended and the readings on three separate days be dispensed and that Bill No 19 be read the second time by title and the third time in full and placed on its final passage. The roll being called on the motion, the vote resulted; Ayes, Adam, Adams, Bardeley, Stunenberg, Walker, Zeh. Nays and absent None, so the motion prevailed. Bill No 19 read second time by title. Nays and Absent,None, so Bill No..19 passed, becoming Ordinance No 214. Voted, on motion of Bardsley, that council adjourn until Monday, May 27th 1912, at 8 p.gt. Monday evening, May 27th, 1912. The following notice was ordered inserted in the,official papers NOTICE TO CEMENT CONTRACTORS. Notice is hereby given that the Mayor and Council of the nity of naldwell, Ida will receive sealed bids on or before Monday, June 17th, 1912, at 5 p.m., for the furnishing of the material and the laying of twenty (20) cement crossings in said cl according to the provisions of Ordiance No. 148 as amended by Ordinance No 214. The council reserves the right to reject any or all bids. By order of the City Council. C. J. 9horb, Clerk. Blatchley et.al. praying that the fallowing street be vacat That part of 5th street south (now knowh as Everett street) from 12th avenue east (now known as 20th avenue) to the east line of Washington Heights addition to Oaldw Idaho as shown on the recorded plat, was, on motion of Adams, granted.
