HomeMy WebLinkAbout1943-05-17city council minutesCOUNCIL CHAMBERS, MAY 17th., 1943, 8;00 P.M. The Council met on Call of the Mayor, with the Mayor, T "urlow Bryant presiding. On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: Pete Clasen, F. E. Newman, 0 L. Thornock, J. Randall Sloop and E. E. ?rasher, Absent; John Finck. The Mayor informed the Council the meeting was called to discuss the constructio of a Topping Plant by the Co -op Oil Co. After a thorough'.diecussion the Mayor referred the matter to the Zoning Comnitte and requested a report be made at the next Council Meeting. The Mayor announced the appointment of K. F. STRINGFIELD to the SWIMMING BOARD for two years, term expiring May let, 1945. Moved by Olesen, seconded by Newman that this appointment be confirmed'. Motion carried. L There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Councilman Newman, seconded by Councilman S loop that Council adjourn, Motion carried. is Mayor. City Clerk. COUNCIL CHAMBERS, JUNE 7th., 1943, The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City Council met in the Council Rooms of the City Bal"1 with the Mayor, Thurlow Bryant presiding. On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present; Pete Olesen, John Finok, F.E. Newman, 0. L, Thornock, J. Randall Sloop and E.E.Fraaher. The Minutes of May 3rd., and 17th., were read and approved as read. Mr. Hugh Ackley appeared and requested that the Ordinance pertaining to dogs running at large be enforced. Moved by Thor;ooki seconded by Olesen that the City Clerk be authorized to canoe] from the water Ledger a charge of 12.30 under the name of A. L. Gray. Motion Carried,( The Bills for May were read and on Motion by Sloop, seconded by Finck that these Bills be allowed and Warrants be drawn for the vsrious amounts all of whioh had been approved by the Chairman of the Finance Committee.
