Council Chamber, City of Caldwell, Idaho, May 8th., 1916.
Council meet in regular session, pursuant to adjornment, with Vayor Fred
C, Boyes presiding, Councilmen Ackley, Dement, Forbes, Harrington, Hayman and Sanberg
present, S. Ben Dunlap, Clerk, when the following business was transacted:
Messrs Wallace, Ore and Burton of the Electric Investment Company appeared
relative to the matter of Street lights, lights for municipal buildings and power for
municipal pumping. They outlined the company's position in the matter of a contract
with the City.
It was voted upon motion of Forbes that the City Attorney be instructed
to draft a contract, subject to approval by a majority of the Council and submit same
to the Flectric Investment Company.
i The petition of Amos J. PAiller et -al, for the extension of the Sprinkling
districts so as to include Avem Street between Main Street and ?aynter Avenue, was
read. It was voted upon motion of Forbes that the petition be granted.
Superintendent of Water '"forks Smith stated that the flow of the city wells
was falling off considerable and that something must be done to secure more water.
Councilman Harrington suggested that the sand in the wells be pumped out.
It was voted upon motion of Forbes that the Clerk be instructed to advertise
for sealed bids on a poorer sprinkler and flusher. Fach bidder to furnish plans,
specifications and terms. The Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

It was voted upon motion of Hayman that Council adjorn until Monday evening
May 17th., 1916, at 8 o'clock.

present, Council adjorned until Friday evening, Ilay 19, 1916, at 8 o'clock P.N.
