VIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION OF THIS ORDINANCE AND ITS TAKING EFFECT.
( which was read for the first time and the douncil proceeded to a consideration of Bill No. 1. It was moved
by Councilman Luby, seconded by Councilman Shorb that the rules requiring that the reading of a Bill on
three separate days be suspended and that Bill No 1, be read the second time by title and the third time in
full section by section and placed on the final oassage. The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the Roll on
the shove motion with the following result: Those voting 'in the affirmative were: Vassar, Smith, Luby,
Shorb, Eldredge and Finley. Negative: None. Absent and not voting: Eldredge. The Mayor declared the
(,motion had passed by the necessary three - fourths majority and directed the Clerk to read Bill No 1, the
second time by title and the third time in full section by section. The Clerk read the Bill as directed.
The question being "Shall Bill No. 1 pass ?" The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the above
question which resulted as follows: Those voting in the affirmative were: Vassar, Smith, Luby, Shorb and
Finley. Negative: None. Absent and not voting: Eldredge.
Thereunon the Mayor declared Bill No. 1 had passed and the Mayor in open session of the Council
duly signed andapnroved the Bill, and the Clerk duly signed and attested the same which became Ordinance No.
955. The Mayor directed the Clerk to make proper entry of the same and to cause Ordinance No. 955, to be,
published in the News- Tribune the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell, Idaho,
Th being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Councilman Shorb,
seconded by Councilman Luby that Council adjourn. Motion carried.

WHEREAS, It has been recommended to the Mayor and City Council that an ordinance be passed amendinE
Section 4- 102"of the Caldwell Code, as amended, by altering and changing the boundaries of the "A" Residence
Zone of the City of Caldwell by excluding therefrom the following described real property, to -wit:
TRACT It
Commencing at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Dearborn. Street; thence running Southwester-
ly along the centerline of Fifth Avenue to the Intersection of Fillmore Street; thence running
Southeasterly along the centerline of Fillmore Street to the intersection of Tenth Avenue;
thence Northeasterly along the centerline of Tenth Avenue to the intersection of Dearborn Street;
thence Southeasterly along the centerline of Dearborn Street to the intersection of Twelfth
Avenue; thence Northeasterly along the centerline of 'Twelfth Avenue to the intersection of

AND, WHEREAS, It has been proposed that Section 4 -103 of the Caldwell Code of 1942, as amended,
be amended by altering and changing the "B" Residence Zone of the City of Caldwell by excluding therefrom
the following described real property, to -wit:

Commencing at the intersection of Chicago Street and Fourth Avenue; proceeding thence
Southeasterly along the centerline of Chicago Street to the intersection of Fifth Avenue;
thence Northeasterly along the centerline of Fifth Avenue to the intersection of Galves-
ton Street; thence Northwesterly along the centerline of Galveston Street to the inter-
section of Fourth Avenue; thence Southwesterly along the centerline of Fourth Avenue to
the point of beginning.
TRACT 2: E
Commencing at the intersection of Elgin Street and Tenth Avenue; thence Southeasterly
along the centerline of Elgin Street to the intersection of Eleventh Avenue; thence
Northeasterly along the centerline of Eleventh Avenue to the Easterly boundary line of f
Block 56 of Boone's Addition to the City of Caldwell; thence along the Easterly boundary
of Boone's Addition to the City o" Caldwell to Galveston Street; thence along the center-
line of Galveston Street to the intersection with Tenth Avenue; thence Southwesterly along
the centerline of Tenth Avenue to the point of beginning
and that the above described property be included in the "C" Commercial Zone of the City of Caldwell, it
Idaho, and Section 4 -104 of the Caldwell Code of 19112, as amended, be amended to include the property
above described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
a. That a public hearing be held by the City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, in the it
Council Chambers of the said City of Caldaell.on the 6th day of June, 1960, at the hour of 8 o'clock. P. M. l
Mountain Standard Time, at which hearing all persona interested may appear and protest said proposed changes))
b. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed to give notice of said public hearing by pub-
lication of a notice hereof in the News - Tribune, a newspaper printed and published in the City of Caldwell,
in two issues thereof, published on the 21st day of May, 1960, and the 28th day of May, 1960.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED these offices shall be opened from 8 A. M. to 5:00 P. M. each
day with the exception of Saturday, Sunday and holidays.
Upon Roll Call those voting in the affirmative were: Luby, Shorb, Eldredge and Finley. Negative:
Nona. Absent and not voting: Vassar and Smith.
Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and the Resolution adopted.
There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Councilman Shorb,

The Re-gular Monthly Meeting of the City Council met im the Council Rooms of the City Hall, with
the Mayor Ed Simmerman, presiding.
Upon Roll C the following Councilmen answered present: E. L. Vassar, N. E. "Coley "Smith, Max
Luby, L. P. Eldredge. and Leland Finley. Absent: Emile Shorb.
Mayor Simmerman informed the Council this was the time set by notice for hearing protests to
changing the boundaries of "A" RHsidence Zone, "B" R Zone and "C" Commercial Zone.
There were no protests filed.
