The above Petitionswere loft on the table. Petition signed by Property Owners was read requesting a Sewer from Ash Street to Linden Street, i This matter was discussed by the Mayor and Council. U Mervin Kipp appeared before the Mayor and Council and asked permission to move the house at 209 N. Kimball to the 1200 Block on Arthur Street. The Mayor appointed the Road Committee, City Engineer and Chief of Police to take i care of this matter. Mr.Stringfield and Mr. Leedy appe behalf of the Soft Ball Club and asked that the City pay for the lights. Moved by Fenrich, Seconded by Rendford thst the City pay for the lights at the Soft Ball Field. Motioncinrried. Moved by McD seconded by Snndmeyer that the City continue with the l oft Ball Field Project. TP.S, MAY 15th.,.1939, 8;00 P.M. The City Council met on Call of the Mayor, with the 17ayor Edgar L. Oakes presid- ing. ; On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present; Oscar Stengel, C. 0. McDannel, W.?. Randford, G. M. Fenrich and M. S. Sandmeyer, Absent; W. E.Babeock. The Mayor informed the Council that the Yeeting was called to take up new and unfinished business. Mr. Major Hudgins appeared before the Mayor and Council and requested the City to form a-Sewer District for a sewer from Ash Street to Linden Street, L i The Mayor informed P.2r. ?= udgins that the Council would try and-work out a plan for this Sewer District. The Mayor a ppointed the Water Committee to investigate the laying of a pipe line) to Mr. Richy'a property at 2701 Cole ge Avenue and report to the Council. The 84ayor appointed C, 0, McD and the City Engineer on the Spray Committee, The Mayor appointed Emmett Giddings as Dog Catcher. Chief of Police, H.E.Felton reported to the Mayor and Council that he hdd two extra men garding the Park. Moved by Handford, seconded by McDannel that the Park Commission be authorized to take out trees that obstruct the view at crossings according to the Ordinance. Motion carried. Mr. Ben Dunlap appeared before the Mayor and Council and requested that the Ackley claim against the City be included in the 1939 -1940 budget. This matter was referre to the City Attorney. Moved by Sandmeyer, seconded by Fenrich that the Council recommend the dismissal of Jack Curley from the Golf.Course. Motion carried. Moved by Stengel, seconded by Fenrich that the City Engineer and the Water Com- mittee be authorized to finish the Tennis Court Project and also to provide for a drinks ing fountain. Motion carried. The City Attorney was instructed to carry* forward to completion the formation of Improvement District Number 16. Moved by Fenrich, seconded by Sandmeyer that the City advertise for bids for a flusher and sprinkler. Motion c arried. Moved by Sandmeyer, seconded by Fenrich that the City advertise for bids for a roller and oiler. Motionc arried. Moved by Handford, seconded by Sandmeyer that the Water Committee be Authorized t go ahead with the service lines in Improvement District Num'oer 16. Moved by Fenrich, seconded by Sandmeyer that the City renew the Garbage Contract held by Chas. Robertson. Motion carried. Babcock, The Mayor informed the Council t',at the Meeting was called to take up new and unfinished ::usiness. Mr. 0. E. Mason appeared and petitioned the Mayor and Council to cancel Sewer Tax on Block 122, Lots 13 -14 and 15, Strahorn Addition, Caldwell, Idaho. After due con- sideration tl)e following Resolution was presented to the Mayor and Council by Councilmm Fenrich who moved the adoption thereof, which motion was duly seconded by Councilman Me.
