Y1. 9 Pa 01 i I Counoil met in regular session persuent to adjournment of Eny 1, 1929, with }mayor MOCO -81 presiding and Councilmen BOI.LLIAN, DICKENS, JOHNS, LEIGHTY AND SANDM$YER, PRESENT. ABSENT: NONE. The Clerk read a petition signed by 117 Citizens of Caldwell, asking for the appointment of A. C. TSeister, resident address 304 Cleveland Boulevard, to fill the va— eaeaney made by Dean Diller resigning as Councilman faom the Third Ward. The petition was ordered placed on file. Councilmen Bollman reported for the committee investigating the 0. A. Payne Filling Station, and stated that it would come under the provision of an Ordinance drawn to regulate, and not a matter for the committee to decide. And further, that the matter of zoneing regulations with regard to Filling Stations in the resident portion of the City should have careful consideration. It was voted on motion of Johns, seconded by Dickens, that the report of the committee be accepted. It was voted on motion of Leighty, seconded by Dickens, that the City Attorney be inatracted,to dmaw an ordinance regulating and zoneing Filling Stations in residential Diat riot a. It wee voted on motion of Bollman, seconded by Laighty, that a committee be appointed to confer with the City Attorney in drawing the Zonsing Ordinance. The Mayor appointed Bollman and Laighty. B. H. Smith representing Van Dusen, Snell & Co., presented an Audit Report covering the City Books and Accounts at the close of business April 30, 1929. Mr. Smith explained in detail several parts of the report. It was voted oh motion of Laighty, seconded by Johns, that the Auditor's Report be accepted and approved. It was voted on motion of Sandmeyer, seconded by Dickens, that the bill of Van Dusan, Snell & Company in the sum of `�250.00 for Audit Report presented, be allowed, and a warrant ordered drawn for the amount. Councilman Bollman reported for the committee investigating the conditions of the Sale Yards, stating that,tbe conditions were not very good, and that something should be done with regard to keeping them clean and sanitary and not be allowed to any stock in the yards only just during the time of the sale. It was voted on motion of Johns, seconded by Bollman, that Council adjourn to May 16, 1929, at 8:00, P. M. APPROVED- Clar NO � r j �,
