COUNCIL CHA3FBFRS,
VAY 12th., 1941,
8:00 P.M.
Pursuant to adjournment of May 5th., the Council met in the L;ouneil Rooms of the
City Hall, with.-the Mayor, EE McCluskey, presiding.
On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present. Thurlow Bryant, Wilbur
Dakan, Fred E. Newman, Floyd Blunt and E.E..Frasher. Absent, C. 0. McDannel.
Mrs.Emi1 Grandfesn and Mr. Ronald Stevens were, present and requested that City
Water lines be extended ob South Kimball. The Mavor referred tbip matter to the Water
Coaaeittee and City Engineer.
The Mayor informed the Council that this was the time set for the.second read-
ing of Bill No. 1, Proposed Ordinance No. 514.
Moved by Fresher, seconded by Bryant that this Ordinance be placed on the
table, and that the Bill and Ordinance „numbers be removed. Motion carried.
Mrs. H. S. Lesdy and Kenneth Stringfield, representing the Soft Ball Club were
present and asked the City to make some improvements at the Soft Ball Field. The Mayor
referred this matter to the Park Committee•wlth power to act.
Thereupon the Mayor announced the appointment of J.F.CROMWBLL, 2® 'POLICE JUDGE.
Moved by Newman, seconded by Fresher that this appoirtment be confirmed. Motion
carried.
Bids for City Audit were submitted by Karl Evans and Middleton, McCarty & Co.;
fter: considering these bids it wPs moved by Bryant, seconded by Blunt that the Audit
Contract be given to * "iddleton, McCarty Co., provided audit ccov1d be started immediately.
Motion carried.
Mr. C. L. Miller requested the installatimn of a street lights at the inter-
section of 20th,, and Dearborn, llth., and Albany, Michigan and Ash.. This matter was
referred to the Road Committee and City Engineer with power to act.
The Mayor announced the appointment of the CHIEF OF POLICE as SANITARY INSPECTOR,
Moved by Newman, seconded by Blunt that this appointment be confirmed. Motion
carried.
Moved by Bryant, seconded by Blunt that Earl Zeal receive a salary of $130.00
per month and T. D.Finn, Supt., of Parks receive. a salary of $90.c0 per month. Motion
carried.
Moved by seconded by Newman that Council adjourn to reconvene Vey 19th.

The Fayor called for the report of the Committee Appointed to investigate the
extension of City Water Lines on South Kimball, The City Engineer made this report.
Thereupon it was moved by Dakan, seconded by Blunt that the City sponsor this
