COUNCIL CHAMBERS

The Council met pursuant to Call and acknowledgment of notice in the following form:
CALL AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF NOTICE
We, the undersigned Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, do each
hereby acknowledgenotice of a sneeial meeting of the said City Council to be held at the Council Chambers
in the City Hall in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, at the hour of 5 o'clock P. M. on the 9th,dgy of May,
1961, for the transaction of all business in connection with the following object; Receiving and opening
bide for a police car, which object was presented to each of the undersigned in writing.

Due to the absence of the Mayor, Councilman E. L. Vassar, President of the Council presided.
Upon Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: E. L. Vassar, N. E. "Coley" Smith,
Max Luby, Emile Shorb and Alvin K. Sates. Absents L.P. Eldredge.
The Acting Mayor informed the Council the meeting was called to receive a nd open bids on a car
for the Police Department.
The following bids were opened and reads
Garber Motor Cc 81674.00
Lodge Motor Co 1683.52
Burns Chev Cc 1779.00
Moved by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Shorb the low bid of Garber Motor Cc, be ac-
canted.
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
Therebeing no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Counci lean Smith,
seconded by Councilman Luby that Council adjourn. Motion carried.

SALE BY THE CITY OF CALD5dE1L AT PUBLIC
AUCTION GNE PARCEL OF LAND.
Sale of third niece of Knight property.
This being the time set by notice for sale at public auction, by the City of Caldwell, one parcel
of land in accordance with Idaho Code 50 -131U - 50 -1009.
Mayor Simmerman offered the following oarcel of land to the highest bidder:
Lot 13 of Block h of the Original Townsits of Caldwell as
the same is shown on the official plat thereof on file and
of record in the office of the Recorder of Canyon County,
Idaho.
City Treasurer, Alta Williams bid $ 50.24
Grover Knight, on behalf of Mary Knight bid 75.00
Mayor Sinmmerman announced the City would accept the high bid of Grover Knight.
