COUNCIL CHALIBERS, MAY 4, 1472

The Caldwell City Council met on call of the Mayor to discuss the contract for
oiling Local Improvement Districts 1 7 0. 12 and rib. 13, with the Mayor , Fred L. Lilly,
presiding.
On Roll Cail, the following Ceimcilmen answered present: 11. S. Sandme er, A. G
Keister, 0. E. Bales, Joe Dickens and E. L. Vassar'. Absent C. M. Johnston.
Horrison- Knudsen Company, of Boise, to whom he.d been awarded the ocntract of
oiling districts No. 12 and ido. 13, had objected to taking the District's warrants in
payment for this oiling, which would be the lest warrants issued for such work.
Moved by Sandmeyer and seconded by Dickens that a Committee, cwnnosed of the
Mayor, C. E. Bales and the City Attorney, be authorized to make the following proposition
in connection with Local Improvement Districts Nos. I2 and 13 : that the warrants to be
issued fn? payment of graveling will not be issued to the City Road Department until the
warrants in payment of oiling said Districts pre issued to Morrison- Knudeen Company, or
if acceptable to Morrison - Knudsen Company, thtit wprtante will not he iseued to the City
load Department in excess of the Estimate for graveling until after the warrants for
oiling are issued.
on Roll Call, the following Councilmen voted in favor of the above motion :'
Sandmeyer, Keiater, Bales, Vassar snd Dickens. Those opposed, None. Absent and not voting
Johnston. The Votion declnred c§rried.
Moved by Dickens and seconded by Keister that this Council stand adjourned
until Monday, 14ay 9th. 1932, at 8 :00 P. "_f. ,

The Regular Monthly meeting of the City Council met in the Council. Room, with the
hayor, Fred L. Lilly, presiding.
On Roll Call, the following Councilmen anawered present: M. S. Sandmeyer, A. G.
Keister, C. E. Bales, E. L. Vassar, 0. M. Johnston and Joe Dickens.
The Minutes of Anril 4th., April 5th., April 18th., April Prth and mpir 4th. were
read and approved, with the exception that the amounts to be deposited in the two Banks
was left vacant and the Mayor a.nnointed the City Attorney and the Finance Committee to
look into the matter and determine the amounts to be inserted.
The City Attorney reno.rted that the Committee met with the Morrison-Knudsen Co
and agreed to the second proiosition as stated in the Minutes of May 4th.
The following Hills were read and on motion made by Vassar and seconded by Bales
that the Bills be allowed and Warrants ordered drawn on the various Amounts, ell of
which had been apnroved by the Chairman of the Finance Committee. Lotion Carried.
