The time coming on regularly for the opening of the bide for Water Works Extensions, bide were opened as follower A motion was made by Farrar that the contracts for the extension as per plane and specifications be awarded to the Caldwell plumbing & Heatipg Co. The roll being called on the motion, the vote resulted: Ayes-- Devers, Farrar, Gartin, Paynter - -4. Naye-- Clark, Harris - -2. So the motion prevailed. v A motion was made by Farrar that the certified checks of all the bidders except the Caldwell Dlumbing & Heating Co. be returned by the Clerk. The roil being called on the motion, the vo to resulted: Ayes -- Clark, Devers, Farrar, Gartin, Harris, Paynter - -6. Nays and absent - -0. So the motion prevailed. Voted, on motion of Farrar, that a part of the cemetery ground be set aside for the exclusive use of the tatholies by the Cemetery Committee and City Engineer, they to report next'Monddy night,_. Letter from S. A. Kean & Co. and F. Wm Kraft respecting disposition of Fund- ing Bonds was read. Sidewalk Resolution No, 46, by Farrar, "providing for the construction of a Sidewalk along certain streets and avenues and in front of certain late and blocks in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, and providing for the payment of such construction by an assessment levied and assessed against the property fronting and abutting on said Side - wakk ", was read. The roll being called on the passage of the resolution, the vote resulted: Ayes -- Clark, Devere, Farrar, Gartin, Harris, Paynter - -6. Nay$ and absent - -0. So the resolution passed, Caldwell J. H. Voted, on motion of Paynter, that Council adjourn until Monday, may 16, 1910, at 8 P. m. � / L Monday, May 16, 1910. Council met in regular session, pursuant to adjourn- ment with Mayor Gowen preelding and Councilmen Clark, Devers, Farrar, Gartin, Harrie, Paynttr, present; Shorb, Clerk. Coffin be accepted provided he furnish a certified check�to 5. of amo ))nt bid. The bid�'of 0. H. Coffin was as follower "For $26,059.78 of Bonds of your City, to be sold May 16th, as described in statement sent to us, said bonds to be dated July 1, 1909, due July 1, 1929, optional after July 1, 1919, bearing interest at the rate of 5% per annum,(five per cent per annum), payable semi - annually, bonds and coupons payable at any Bank in New York you may designab®, and said bonds together with all such copies of proceedings and certifi- cates as are necessary to give evidence of their legality to the satisfaction of t2Z our attorney to be delivered to us at the CONTINENTAL NATIONAL BANK, Chicago, we will pay $26,101.00 ".
