Council meet in regular session, pursuant to adjornment, with Mayor Fred C. Boyne presiding, Councilmen Ackley, Dement, Forbes, Harrington, Hayman and Sanberg present, S. Ben Dunlap, Clerk, when the following business was transacted: Messrs Wallace, Ore and Burton of the Electric Investment Company appeared relative to the matter of Street lights, lights for municipal buildings and power for municipal pumping. They outlined the company's position in the matter of a contract with the City. It was voted upon motion of Forbes that the City Attorney be instructed I to draft a contract, subject to approval by a majority of the Council and submit same to the Electric Investment Company. The petition of Amos J. Miller et -al, for the extension of the Sprinkling districts so as to include Avem Street between Main Street and Paynter Avenue, was read. It was voted upon motion of Forbes that the petition be granted. Superintendent of Water `Rorke Smith stated that the flow of the city wells was falling off considerable and that something must be done to secure more water. Councilman Harrington suggested that the sand in the wells be pumped out. It wan voted upon motion of Forbes that the Clerk be instructed to advertise for sealed bids on a power sprinkler and flusher. Each bidder to furnish plans, specifications and terms. The Council reserves the right to reject any and all bide. P13s to be opened June 5th., 1916. It was voted upon motion of Hayman that Council adjorn until Monday evening May 17th., 1916, at 8 o'clock. Attest: .p Ma. City Clerk Council Chamber, City of Caldwell. Idaho, Allay 17, 1916.
