COUNCIL CHAMBERS
MAY 5th, 1952,

.The Regular Monthly Meeting
of the City Council met in the Council Rooms of the City Hall, with
the Mayor Jason C. Smith presiding.
Upon Roll O the following Councilmen answered present. Fran Blomquist, L.
E. Burrell, Dale
Fenrich and J. M. Bettis. Abeentt John Myers and Ernest Weick.
. Application for Pool and Card License was read from Waldorf Cigar Store, the
fee accompanying
the application.
Moved by Blomquist, seconded by Burrell that this License be granted.
. Upon Roll Call it appeared
the motion was unanimously carried.
Councilman Weick and Myers
entered and were marked present.
. The Bills for April were read and on motion by Blomquist, seconded by Burrell
that these Bills
be allowed and Warrants ordered drawn for the various amounts all of which had been approved
by the
Finance Committee. Motion carried.

.A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE C:'NSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENTS IN LOCAL
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 19 OF THE 17TY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, AUTHORIZING THE INVITATION FOR BIDS AND SETTING
A DATE FOR OPENING BIDS.
.WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, have heretofore duly and eegularly,
as required by law, created Local Improvement District No. 19 of the City of Cald'�ell, Idaho, for the
purpose of constructing in said district improvements consisting of suitable sewers, ditches, drains, condui
and channels for sanitary and drainage purposes, or either or both thereof, with outlets, cesspools, man-
holes, catch basins, flush tanks, septic tanks and all other sewer appurtenances necessary for the comfort,
convenience, health and well -being of the City of Caldwell; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Caldwell has prepared and filed with the City Clerk of
said city, plans and specifications for the construction of said improvements in said Local Improvement
District No. 19 of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, which Raid plans and specifications have been presented to
the 'layor.and City Council and approved; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to invite bids for the construction of said improvements;

NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved and ordered by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell,
Idaho:
Section 1. That the plans and specifictions heretofore prepared by the City Engineer and filed
with the City Clerk of the City of Caldwell, for the construction of certain improvements authorized in
said Local Improvement District No. 19 of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, for the purpose of constructing in
said district improvements consisting of suitable sewers, ditches, drains, conduits and channels for
for sanitary and drainage purposes, or either or both thereof, with outlets, cesspools, manholes, catch
i basins, flush tanks, septic tanks and all other sewer appurtenances necessary for the comfort, convenience,
health and well —being of the City of Caldwell, be and the same hereby are approved.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby ordered to prepare and let invitations for bids and

publish the same in The Caldwell News — Tribune, official newspaper of the City of Caldwell, on May 10, May 14
May 24 and May 31, 1952, calling for the opening of said bids at the City Hall on June 2, 1952, at the
hour of 8:00 o'clock P. M. in accordance with Section 50 -2936 of the Idaho Code.
Upon Roll Call those voting in the affirmative were: Blomquist, Burrell, Myers, Weick, Fenrich
and Bettis. Negatives None. Absent and not voting: None.
Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and the Resolution adopted.
There being no further business to come before the Council, it was moved by Councilman Fenrich
seconded by Councilman Bettis. that Council adjourn. Motion carried.

The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City Council met in the Council Rooms of the City Hall, with
the Mayor Jason C. Svath presiding.
Upon Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present, Fran Blomquist, L. E. Burrell, Dale
Fenrich and J..M. Bettis. Absent: John Myers and Ernest Weick.
A letter was read from the Idaho State Doard of Correction.
Moved by Blomquist, seconded by Fenrich that this letter be spread on the Minutes.
Upon roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
