REGULAR MEETING
May 4, 1987

The Meeting was called to order by Mayor Cowles.

The Mayor requested that everyone stand for the Pledge of
Allegiance to the Flag.
The Roll of the City Council was called with the following
members present: Mallea, Marcus, J. Carter, and L. Carter.
Absent: Marmon and Raymond.
(APPROVAL OF MINUTES)
It was MOVED by L. Carter, SECONDED by J.Carterto dispense with
the reading of the minutes of the Regular City Council Fleeting of
April 20, 1987, and approve them as written.
MOTION! CARRIED
(AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION)
The Mayor asked if there was anyone from the audience who cared
to present an item before the City Council that was not on the
prepared Agenda. As there was no one, the Mayor declared that
the meeting would continue as outlined.
NEW BUSINESS
(CANVASS THE VOTES FOR THE SPECIAL RECALL, ELECTION)
Mayor Cowles stated that this was the time set for the official
canvass of votes for the Special City Recall Election held on
April 28, 1987. The City has an agreement with the Canyon County
Election Board to tabulate the vote and their computer sheet
reported the count as follows:
FOR RECALL OF COUNCIL MEMBERS
Shall Kent Marmon be recalled?
2101 Yes
858 No
Shall Jack Carter be recalled?
2066 Yes
850 No
Shall Durand Marcus be recalled?
2055 Yes
870 No
It was then MOVED by L. Carter, SECONDED by Mallea to accept the
final vote report for the Special Recall Election held on April
28, 1987, and consider the votes canvassed.
Roll call vote. Those voting yes: Mallea and L. Carter. Those
voting no: None. Abstain: Marcus and J. Carter.
Absent and not voting: Marmon and Raymond.
The Mayor cast a yes vote and declared that the motion passed.
MOTION CARRIED
There being no further business, the Meeting was adjourned at
8:15 p.m.
