The Caldwell City Council met on call of the 'Mayor to discuss the contract for
oiling Local Improvement Districts TTo. 12 ant NA. 13, with the Mayor , Fred L. Lilly,
presiding.
On Roll`Call, the following Councilmen answered nraaent: 11. c. S_ndmeyer, A. G
Keister, C. E. Bales, Joe Dickens and E. L. Vassar'. Absent C. 11. Johnston.
Morrison- Knudsen Company, of Boise, to whom had been awarded the contract of
oiling districts No. 12 and 110. 13, had objected, to taking the District's warrants in
payment for this oiling, which would be the last warrants issued for such work.
Pdoved by Sandmeyer and seconded by Dickens that a Committee, composed of the
Mayor, C. E. Bales and the City Attorney, he :authorized to maY_e the following proposition
in connection with Local improvement Districts Noe. 12 and 13 : that the warrants to be
issued in};payment of graveling will not be issued to the City Road Department until the
warrants in payment- of oiling said Districts are issued to ?2orrison- Knudsen Company, or
if acceptable to Morrison. - Knudsen Onmpsny, that warrants will not be ise to the City
Road Department in excess of the Estimate for graveling until after the warrants for
oiling are issued.
On Roll Call', the following Councilmen voted in favor of the above motion:'
9andmeyer, Keister, Bales, Vassar end Dickens. Those opposed, None. Absent and not voting
Johnston. The lrotion declared carried.
Moved by Dickens and seconded by Keister that thin Council stand adjourned
until Monday, May 9th. 1932, at 6:00 P. M. ,

The Regular Monthly meeting of the Citv Council net in the Council. Room, with the
Mayor, Fred L. Lilly, presiding.
on Roll Call, the following Councilmen - newered present: H. S. 6andmeyer, A. G.
Keister, C. E. Bales, E. L. Vassar, C. 21. Johnston and Joe Dickens.
The Minutes of April 1 Fth., April 5th., April 16th., April Psth and !TF4y 4th, were
read and approved, with the exception th?t the amounts to be depoAited in the two Banks
was left vacant and the Mayor annointed the City Attorney and the Finance Committee to
look into the matter and determine the 'amounts to be inserted.
The City Attorney renorted that the Committee met with the Morrison - Knudsen Co
and agreed to the second proposition as stated in the t1inutee of trey 4th.
The following Pills were read and on motion made by Vassar and seconded by Bales
that the Bills be allowed and Warrants ordered drawn on the various amounts, ell of
which had been approved by the Chairman of the Finance Committee. Potion Carried.
