HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960-05-03city council minutesAfter the area has been annexed, the policies governing the opening of streets
and extension of utilities would apply.
These are briefly as follows:
Streets will be graded and graveled to an all weather condition
when they are needed. Before streets are opened, any drain ditch,
waste ditch; or irrigation ditch must be tiled by the property owners.
All extensions of the domestic sewer will be at the expense of
the property. A sewer interceptor is abailabe in the southeast
corner of the property, Field work has not been taken to determine
the distance to the west which this interceptor would serve. In the
event that there is a part of the area which cannot be served by a
sewer and septic tanks are reouired, the liquid waste cannot reach
any irrigation or drain ditch. In other words, septic tank over-
flows must be placed in drain fields or cesspools.
The water mains will be laid in the area by the city as needed.
Fine protection will be provided as the water mains are laid.
It appears that the most logical development would start some-
where near the southeast corner of the property. Development from
this corner wo "ild be an advantage from the standpoint of expense to
both the property and the city.
Should you have any other questions in regard to the annexation of the area,
please do not hesitate to contact us.
