.The Council met in regular session with Mayor Y.aley, presdddng, Councilmen Kimbrou8b,
Ah Xumford, McConnel, andeWheeler, present, and Conley and Dutton, absent on May 3rd, 1926
t. 8 P.M.
.W.H.Johns appeared before the 9ouncil a6d protested the sprinkling on Chicago St.,
ba$ween 7th Avenue and No. Kimball. This was referr5d to the street Committee.
Jack Lewis appeseed before the Mayor and Cou oil and akked to have a short piece
of,road graded on 5th are.extended from raynter Ave. a distance of 20 rode , as John
Chevalley had promised to give the right of way, provided, Lewis would build a fence.

The Council met in regular session, hlay 6th, 1926 at 8:30 P.M., pursuant to adjourns
ent with Mayor Kaley, prealding,Cou cilmen, Conley, Dutton, Kimbrough, Mumf ord, MoConnel,
nd Wheeler, present.
RESOLUTION 110. 26, BY DUTTON, 7AS PR SENTED AS 70 LOtws:
MREAS, by previous resolu tions, the City of Caldwell has agreed to coopeeste
ith the State of Idaho in the construction of Federal Aid Project Iie. 86 -3, portions
f which lie within the incorporated limits of said city, and,
WHEREAS, present laws of Idaho prohibit expebditure of State Highxay Funds for
aintenance puproses within a municipality of more than 2500 population,
NOW THEREF03E, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Caldwell that the said City
ill maintain at the expense of the said City, either by itself or in cooperation with
is State of Idaho to the standards of maintenance required by the Secretary of Agricuture
a Federal A18 projects ,those pprtiona of these projects within the City limits, and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that on failure of ' aldwell to prvide adequate maintenance the
rpartment of Public %orks of the State of Idaho is hereby authroi2ed to enter the City
! Caldwell and provide for such maintenance and cost of same shall be a valid charge
;a1B8t the City of Caldwell.
A motion was made by Conley, seconded by 11 7heeler,that H seolution No. 26 be adopted.

o borrow to the beat advantage in order to purchase a GrAlder and Tractor and necessary
pairs for the Fire Department. The Yiayor caused the Clerk to call the roll on the
