Motion of Farrar, Council adjourned bntil Tuesday Q evening, May 3, 1910. Tuesday, May 3, 1910. Council met in regular session pursuant to adjournment with Mayor Gowen presiding and Cooneilmen Clark, Revers, Farrar, Gartin, Harris, Payn- ter present; Shorb, Clerk. A motion was made by Farrar that the contracts for all sidewalk in the paving district not covered by Ahe bid of Calkins & Lesley be awarded to F. W. Whittier at 14 IN per square foot. The roll being called on the motion, the vote resulteds Ayes -- Clark, Devers, Farrar, Gartin, Harris, Paynter - -6. Faye and absent - -0. So the motion prevailed. Bill No. 42, by Cartin, entitled, "An Ordinance fixing the fife limits, in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, and providing for the erection and inspection of buildings therein, the appointment of a building inspectdr, specifying his duties and compensa- tion, repealing all ordinances in conflict with this ordinance and providing a penalty for the violation thereof ", was read the first time. A motion was made by•Farrar that the Pules be suspended and the readings on three separate days be dispensed with and that Bill No. 42 be read the second time by tithe and the third time in full and placed on its final passage. The roll being called on the motion, the vote resulted, Ayes -- Clark, Devers, Farrar, Gartin, Harris, Paynter - -6. Nays and Absent - -0. So the motion prevailed.
