Motion was made by Hoffman, seconded by Tzoaonnel, that the bill be allowed. The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the motion as stated with the following result; Ayes: DUTTON, HOF.FMAN, JACKSON, MCCONNEL AND MUMFORD. Noyes: DAVIS. ABSENT: NONE. Motion was Dada by idumford, seconded by McConnel, that the rules requiring a bill to be read on three separate days be suspended and that Bill No. 33 be read second time by title, third time in full and placed on its final passage. The Mayor directed the Olerk to call the roll with the following result; AYES: DAVIS DUTTON, HOFFMAN, JACKSON, MCCONNEL AND MIRIF'On. NAYES AND ABSENT: NONE. Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried. Bill No. 33 was read second time by title, third time in full section by section and placed on its final passage. On the question as put by the Mayor, "Shall Bill No. 33 Pass "? The Clerk was directed to call the roll with the following resulp: AYES: DAVIS, DUTTON, HOb'.e'MAN, JACKSON, MCCONNEL AND MUNGPORD. NAYES AND ABSENT:NONr,. Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and Bill No. 33 now became Ordinance No. 467. The Mayor and Olerk approved and signed same in open session of the Gouncil. The 0lerk was directed cause same to be published in the Cald. well News- Tribune the official newspaper of the Oity of Caldwell, Idaho, and recorded in the Book of Ordinanoes. Superintendent Porter was requested to take up the matter of having the man- holes repaired at Memorial Park by the Pioneer Irrigation District. , � RESOLUTION N0. 32, BY DUTTON was presented. ENTITLED "ARESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALK ACCORDING TO PLAN NO. 3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 148, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 189 OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, ALONG AND BESIDE CERTAIN LOTS IN SAID CITY OF CALUMELL: AND PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF SUCH CONSTRUCTION CHARGES BY AN ASaRSaIMT LEVIED AND ASSESSED AGAINST THE PROPERTY FRONTING AND ABUTTING ON SAID SIDEWALK ". "BE IT RESOLVED, By the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho: "Section 1. That sidewalk be constructed according to plan No. 3 of Ordinance No. 148, as amended by Ordinance No. 189 of the Oity of Caldwell, Idaho, along and besides those certain lots described as follows, to -wit: Along the Southweatarly side of Block One Hundred Twenty - eight (128) Strahorn's Addition No. 1, Caldwell, Idaho; said improvement being along the Northeasterly side of Grant Street between Sixth Avenue and Seventh Avenue in the City of Caldwell, - Idaho; I "Section 2. That the owner or owners of the property beside which said sidewalk is to be constructed, shall construct the same within 30 days after the publication of this Resolution, if the said sidewalk is not sonstruoted within the time hersinbefore mentioned by the owner or ownere of the property afronting and abutting on the said side - galk, than the City of Caldwell., shall construct the same by contract let to the lowest bidder, and the cost of such construction shall be lelied and assessed by the Council against the property fronting and abutting on the said sidewalk, in proportion to the iron age of the said property in front of or beside whiah the same shall be constructed, the cost Bf approaches to cross walks being assessed to the adjacent corner lots. "Section S. The estimated coat of said sidewalk is the sum of Seventeen (f.17) cents per square foot, and the whole some of Two Hundred Sixty and 10/100the Dollars. "Section 4. Said sidwwslk if constructed by the owner or owners of said propert shall be constructed according to.the requirements of the Ordinances of the City of Cald- well and subject to the approval pf the City of Galdwell and subject to approval of the Engineer and Street Commissioneers of said City." Motion was made by Hoffman, seconded by Davin that Resolution No. 32 be adopted The Mayor directed the clerk to call the roll with the following result: AYES: DAVIS DUTTON 110FFf3AN, JACKSON, MCCONNEL AND MUMFCRD. NAYkS AND ABSENT: NONE. Thereupon the mayor declared the motion carried and Revolution No 32 aoopterd4 The mayor and Olerk approved and signed same in open session of the Oounoil.. The Glerk, was instructed to extend Mr. and Ctrs. R. C. Pasley, Caldwell and Vergil Ballard, Notus,_ Idaho, a vote of thanks for the roses and shrubs contributed for the benefit of Memorial Perk. The Clerk was instructed to request the Department of rublic i4orks to make a survey of the l=ioipal Airport at the earliest possible date.
