HomeMy WebLinkAbout1941-04-28city council minutesCOUNCIL CHAMBERS, APRIL 28, 1941, 8;00 P.M, The Eoyincil met on Call of the Mayor, with the Mayor Edgar L. Oakes, presiding. On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: W.E.Babcock, C. 0. Mc. Dannel, Oscar Stengel, W.B. Bandford, G. M. Fenrich and M. The City Clerk read a letter from Mrs. Loraine Stsunenberg in which she tendered i her resignation as a member of the Swimming Board. Moved by Sandmeyer,seconded by Handford that the Council accept this resignation. Motion carried. Li The Mayor appointed Mrs. Dan Garvey as a member of the Swimming Pool Board to fill the vacancy left by Mrs. Steunen berg's resignation. Moved by Sandmeyer, seconded by Babcock that this appointment be confirmed. Motion c The Mayor appointed Ancil Steunenberg as a member of the Zoning Board to fill the vacany left by the resignation of Dean Miller. Moved by Sandmeyer, seconded by Babcock that this appointment be confirmed. Messers R.B.Scatterday, Oacnz Baum and John Turner representing the Pioneer Irrigation District were present and discussed with the Mayor and Council the Contract between the Pioneer Irrigation District and the City of Caldwell. The Mayor appointed the following Committee, W.F. Jarvis, Fred McConnel and H. E. Parmenter to meet with the Committee from the Pioneer Irrigation District and further discuss the new contract. Thereupon on motion by Fenrich, seconded by Stengel it was ordered and declared and this does order and declare by the Mayor and City Council of Caldwell, Idaho that the - following named persons are herebydeclared elected to the following named offices, to serve for the ensuing biennium, or until the election and qualification of their successors to -wit! Mayor, H.E. Me"luskey; City Clerk, O.E.Fritts; Treasurer, B. E. Yarmenter; Council• men from First Ward, E,E.Frasher, C, 0. McDannel; Councilmen from Second Ward, Floyd Blunt, Fred E. Newman; Councilmen from Third Ward, Thurlow Bryant, Wilbur Dakan, and IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Council of the City of Caldwell issue to each of said persons a certificate of election in due from for each of their respective offices. There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Sandmeyer, seconded by McDannel that Council adjourn. Motioncarried. . .
