COUNCIL CHAMBERS
April 26, 1930
6:00 o'clock P. M.

Council met in adjourned session pursuant to adjournment on April-14th. 1930,
with Mayor McConnel presiding, and Councilman Bollman, Dickens, Johns, Leighty, pres-
ent, Absent Gordon, and Sandmeyer.
Owing to the absence of the City Clerk the Mayor appointed Mr. W. 0. Dyer,
Acting Clerk, and announced that the Council was in session for the consideration
of any business which might lawfully core before it.
Lee Johnson from Parma also Mr. /J.`id- Peckham made remarks in regard to gas
and oil.
Mr. J. .H: Lowell appeared in regard to the well at the Swimming Pool and
and inquired of the City's attitude toward the situation.
Thereupon; motion was made by councilman Leighty, aeoonded by Councilman
Dickens that further onnaideratonof the bid of H. J. McNeal for performing labor,
furnishing material and constructing the works proposed to be caustructed in Local
Street Improvement District No. 9, of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, b I continued for
further consideration to the meeting of The Mayor and Council to be leld in the
Oounoil Chambers in the City Hall, in the City of Caldwell, April 30, 1930, at
eight P.M. Those voting in the affirmative: Bollman, Jobne,- Leighty

28th, 1930, at 8:00 P.M. Those voting in the affirmative: Bollman, Dickens,
Johns, Leighty and Sandmeyer. Those voting in the negative: Hone. Absent and
not voting: Gordon. Thereupon, the Mayor declared the motion carried.
A representative of Pletcher 011 Company appeared before the Council
and requested permission to out the curb across First Avenue and Cleveland
Boulevard for the construction of an approach to their service station in Block
111 Strahorn's Addition and to permit them to make a crossing across
railroad track. It was moved by Sandmeyer and eeoonded by Johns that the request
of Fletcher 011 Company be granted, provided, the work be done under the super-
vision of the Citi Engineer. Motion carried.
The Council took up for consideration the matter of a new well for the
swimming pool. Whereupon it was moved by sandmeyer and seconded by Johns that,

owing to the absence of the Chairman of the dater Works Committee, action with
reference tb a well for the swimming pool be deferred until the neat meeting of
the uoanoil. Motion carried.
It was moved by Johns and seconded by Leighty that the Council adjourn,
to reconvene on April 28th, 1930, at 8 :00 o'clock p.m. action carried.
