HomeMy WebLinkAbout1933-04-24city council minutesApril 14, 1 933 181 N0W, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Mayor and Council of the City of,Oeldwell, Idaho: Section 1. That said real property hereinabove referred to and hereinafter descrit ed'be sold at private sale at eight o"clook P. M. on the 15th. day of Delay, 1933, at the 'Council rooms in the City Hall of said City, to the highest and beet bidder therefor. Section 2. That the C1'ty 'Clerk of said City is hereby 'authorized and directed to publish in the Caldwell Newe- Tribune, a local newspaper 'of general circulation, a notice of intention to sell saidproperty, once each weeK for two successive weeks immediately preceeding the 8th, day of May, 1533. Section 3. That said re Al property is described as follows, 'to -wit: 'Beginning at the westerly earner of Block Sixty -seven (67), in Devers Addition to the City of Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho, and running thence northeasterly along the northwest boundary line of said Block a distance of 119.7 feet; thence southerly to a point on the southwest boundary line of said Black which is 11.2- feet northwest from the south corner of Lot Twenty (20) of said Block; thence northwesterly along the southwest boundary line of said Block a distance of llj 8 feet to the point of beginning, all being a part of said Block Sixty -seven (67) of said Devers Addition. PASSED by the Council this 14th. day of April, 1933. APPROVED by the Mayor this 14th, day of April, 1933. ATTEST: Al224ay City Clerk. Moved by Bales and seconded by Dickens that the above Resolution be adopted. On Roll Call, the following Councilmen noted in favor of the motion: A. G. Reiater 0. E. Bales, C. M. Johnston, Joe Dickens and E. L. Vassar. Those opposed, None. Absent and not voting, M. S. Sandmeyer. Thereupon, the Mayor declared the above Resolution passed by the necessary vote. Moved by Johnston and seconded by Vassar that this Council stand adjourned upon call of the Mayor. Motion Carried. ATTEST: Oity Clerk COUNCIL CHAMBERS, APRIL 24 1 933, 3:00 P. M. A Special Called Meeting of the City Council was called by the Mayor forthe purpose of filling two vacancies in Election Judges, with the Mayor, Fred L. Lilly, presiding. On Roll Call, the following Councilmen andwered present: M. S. Sandmeyer, A. G. Keister, C. E. Bales, C. M. Johnston, Joe Dickens and E. L. Vassar. The Clerk reported that Mrs. Harry Johnston had declined the position of Judge of Clection and that J. c. Andrews had moved out of the First ward and was thus disqualified :o act as Judge and that L. L. Swarm had declined to act as Constable. The Mayor appointed P. J. Olds and Frank Sadley to sot as Judges of Election, a Lnd appointed Orville Merrick to act as Constable. All of these appointees being in and for the First ward. Moved by Bales and seconded by Johnston that the above appointees be confirmed. Motion Carried. Moved by Sandmeyer and seconded by Bales that this Council stand adjourned upon call of the Mayor. Motion Carried. ATTEST t� � /Mayor City Clerk
