The Council met pursuant to call and acknowledgment of notice in the follow ng form:

CALL AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF NOTICE

We, the undersigned Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Caldwell, Ids o, do a ach'
hereby acknowledge notice of a special meeting of said City Council to be held at the Council Chambers in
the City Hall in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, at the hour of 9:00 o'.clock A. M. on the 23rd day of April,
1954 for the transaction of all business in connection with the.following object: The Mayor informed the
l Council the meeting was called to discuss the collection of dog licenses by the Inter - Collegiate Knights
of the College of Idaho, which object was submitted to each of the undersigned in writing.

Upon Roll C the following Councilmen answered present: Fran Blomquist, L. E. Burrell, Ernest
I
Weick, L. P, Eldredge and J. M. Bettis. Absent Adolph Eggers.
The Mayor informed the Council the meeting was called to discuss the collection of dog licenses
by the Inter - Collegiate Knights of the College of Idaho on a 10% basis.
Thereupon the Council entered into a discussion of this matter.
Whereupon motion was made by Councilman Burrell, seconded by Councilman Weick that the City of
Caldwell enter into a contract with the Inter -Collegiate Knights of the College of Idaho for the collectim
of dog licenses and the City Attorney be instructed to prepare this em tract.
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
Applications for Card Licenses wereread from 'k4aldorf Cigar Store and The Sport Shop, the fee
accompanying each application.
Moved by Blomquist, seconded by Weick that these Licenses be granted,
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
Applications for Pool Licenses were read from Brink's Inc., and Waldorf Cigar Store, the fee
accompanying each application.
Moved by Blomquist, seconded by Weick that these Licenses be granted.
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
The disposal of garbage was brought up for discussion. The Mayor requested the City Attorney
�17 to obtain a copy of the Twin Falls Garbage Ordinance so that it could be studied by the Council.
Councilman Bettis informed the Mayor and Council the cost of a loader for the road department
would be approximately $710D.00.
Moved by Blomquist, seconded by Burrell that Councilman Bettis be authorized to purchase a
loader.
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
Examinations for Plumber's License as given by the Board of Examiners was discussed by the Mayor
and Council but no action was taken.
There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Councilman Blomquist,
seconded by Councilman Weick that Council adjourn. Motion carried.
