owners refused to connect with the sewer.

Councilman Steunanberg took up tLe matter of disposinF of Carbage during the
summer montls,steting tlat tle Forward Club were anxluus tlat the City should mike
some da.°inate arrangement to dinpuse of the sanie,and tLat tie members of tLe said
club were willing to assist.

sion to build n tempurary ditch in the alley batween lltb.and 12tY. and Blain and
t'levoland for the rurluse of divarting the :410.er so that a cement ditch could be con -
etructed around the Library grounds.

if the permissicn is grrntel the company is to save tPe City from all damage by
reason of the said ditch and t}at they are to refill the same when its use is dis-
continued.
The Water ^omntssioner reporte -:[ that he Lad again taken up the matter of water
rates,with the railroad company th,rougl Superintendent Fa rns,and that the superintend-
ent bad stuted that his rornlany wuuld agree to a rate of ,445.00 per month.
It was vuted upon notion of Adams that the City Attorney be instructed to draw
up r- contract and submit the same to the Railroad Company. Said contract to atipu-
late the following conditions : Rate to be *45.00 per munth,for the same tape that
were in use durinZ tl:e life ,;f the old contract,all. water furnieh.ed through additional,
tape to be paid for at tlj: regular meter ratesiAnd the term of the contract to be for
two years.
It was vut.ed upon motion of Stounenberg that tleCYunell " nd,jorn until Monday
