Discussion Airport zoning
Mayor and Simmerman and the Council discussed zoning of areas adjacent to the Airport.
Moved by Councilman Vassar, seconded by Councilman Smith the City Attorney and the City Engineer
prepare a preliminary draft and report back to the Council.
Upon Roll Call it an ?eared the motion was unanimously carried.
Thereupon Councilman Smith introduced the following Resolution and moved the adoption thereof,
which motion was seconded by Councilman Finley.

WHEREAS, The following described real property owned by the City of C Idaho, and situated
within the City of Caldwell, County of Caron, State of Idaho, to wits
Lot 13 of Block � of the Original Townsite of Caldwell, as the same is shown on the
official plat thereof on file and offttfti in the office of the Hscorei of Canyon
County, Idaho.
was not acquired by the City of Caldwell, Idaho, snd has not been, and is not being, used for public park
purposes, for playground, or for a public building site; and
WHEREAS, Said property is not needed for municipal purposes and it is considered to the advantage
and best interest of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, and to its residents and property owners that the above
described real property be sold at public sale to the highest bidder.
BE IT RKSO1.t1ED;
a. That the Notice of Intention of the Mayor and council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, to sell
the above described real property at public sale be ;given by the Clerk of the City o£ C,ldwell, Idaho,
by publication of such notice in the News - Tribune, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Caldwel
Idaho, once each week for two successive weeks.
b. That the Notice of Public Sale of said real property; so published, shall designate the 15th
day of May, 1961, at five O'clock P. M., as the date upon which any objection to such sale may be made, in
person or by being filed with the Clerk of the City of Caldwell, Idaho,and as the date on which said real
property will be sold at public auction to the highest bidder.
Said notice shall state the following terms of Bale:
C in lawful money of the United States of America; at least the per cent of the purchase
price offered, shall accompany the bid or offer of nurchass, the balance of the offered purchase
price to be paid upon delivery to the bidder whose offer to purchase is accepted, of a policy
of title insurance issued by a title insurance company qualified to do business in the State of
Idaho, insuring a merchantable title to said real property in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, or
an Abstract of Title extended to the date of sale, showing a merchantable title to said real
property in the City of Caldwell, Idaho.
The right to reject any or all bids is reserved by the City of Caldwell, Idaho
Moved by Councilman Shorb, seconded by Councilman Smith this R solution be tabled until the 17th
day of April, 1961.
Upon Roll Call those voting in the affirmative were: Smith, Shorb, Luby, Eldredge and Finley.
Negative: Vassar. Absent and not voting: None.
Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried.
There being no further business to cone before the Council it was moved by Councilman Smith,
seconded by Councilman Luby that Councilrecess until April 17th, 1961.. Mmtioncarried.

hereby ackmowledge notice of aspecial meeting of the said City Council, to be held in the Council Chambers
in the City Hall in the City of Caldwell, Idaho at the hour of 8200 o'clock P. M. on the 17th day of April
1961, for transaction of all business in connection with the the following objects New and unfinished bus

these Bills be allowed and warrants ordered drawn for the various amounts all of which have been approved by
the Finance Committee. Motion carried.

My dear Mayor Sim m?rman:
I am writing you in regard to our telephone conversation this morning as to the oiling of a
portion of the alley adjoining the association's property. I would aopreciate very much if
you would take this up with the 6 ouncil at their meeting and advise me of the possibility
of getting 100 feet of the alley, off of 5th street, oiled.
I realize that there would probably be some obligation on the part of the association, since
the total alley would not be surfaced and we, of course, would be willing to stand a portion
of the cost. Since this section of town has been allocated as a business district, I do not
feet it is out of line to request the ailing of this small portion as other business areas
in the city have been oiled in the past.
I would appreciate your cooperation in this matter and would like to hear from you as soon
as possible regarding this.

City Engineer informed the /Golf Course was in need of an Aeri£ier and there was only one company
that handled this piece of equipment. The price of the aerifier would be $797.50.
Moved by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Luby the City purchase an aerifier from Turf
k Toro Cc of Seattle.

precincts, care duly on for canvassing board and found to be correct and legally made and the results ehereo
