14, Township 4 North,Range 2 West of the Boise Meridian, Canyon County
Idaho, thence East along the South line of said quarter section 52 rods,
thence in a Northwesterly direction along the rimrocks to a point 56
rods North of the place of heginning, thence South along the West line
of said quarter section 56 rods to the place of beginning.
Also the Southeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section
15, Township 4 North, Range 3 West of the Boise Meridian, in Canyon
County, Idaho, excepting six acres, more or less, in the Northwest
corner thereof.
Also the East Half of the Northwest quarter of the Northeast Quarter (E2
NW4NE4), Section 15, Township 4 North, Range 3 West of the Boise Meridian
excepting four acres comprising the p and house in the Southeast
corner thereof now occupied by George Hammer.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Caldwell enter into a lease with Charles Nickel
and the Mayor and City Clerk on behalf of the City be authorized to execute the same.
Upon Roll C the following Councilmen voted in the affirmative: Vassar, Smith, Luby, Shorb,
Eldredge and Finley. Negative: None. Absent and not voting: None.
Thereupon the Mayor declred the motion carried and the Resolution adopted.
Mayor Simmerman recommended the ordinance pertaining to the display of merchandise on sidewalks
be amended to provide for a special permit to be issued by the Council.
There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Councilman Smith,
seconded by Councilman Vassar that Council recess until April 18, 1960 at 8o'clock P, M. Motion carried.

CALL AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF NOTICE
We, the undersigned Mayor and Members of the Cite Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, do each
hereby ackh3wledge notice of a special meeting of the said City Council, to be held in the Council Chambers
in the City Hall in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, at the hour of 5:00 o'clock P. M. on the 14th day of April
1960 for the transaction of all business in connection with the following object: Resolution approving
Plans and Specifications for the Construction of Improvements in Local Improvement District No. 46 which
object was presented to each of the undersigned in writing.

Upon Roll Call the following Councilman answered present: E. L.-Vassar, N. E. "Coley" Smith,
Max Luby, Emile Shorb and Leland Finley. Absent: L. P. Eldredge.
Mayor Simmerman informed the Council the meeting was called to approve the plans and specificatio
for Local Improvement District No. 48.
Thereupon Councilman Finley presented the following Resolution and moved the adoption thereof,
which motion was duly seconded by Councilman Vassar. -
RESOLUTION
By Councilman Finley.
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLANS AND S�E CIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENTS TO LOCAL
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 48 OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, AUTHORIZING THE INVITATION FOR BIDS AND SETTING
AD ATE FOR OPENING BIDS.
WHEREAS the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, have heretofore duly and regularly

as required by law, created Local Improvement District No. 48 of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, for the
purpose of constructing in said district, improvements consisting of suitable curbs and gutters and street
and alley valleys and for the purpose of surfacing, grading and oiling the streets therein; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Caldwell has prepared and filed with the City Clerk of
said City, plans and specifications for the construction of said improvements in said Local Improvement
District No. 48 of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, which said plans and specifications have been presented to
the Mayor and City Council and approved, and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to invite bids for the construction of said improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved and ordered by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho
Section 1. That the clans and specifications heretofore prepared by the City Engineer and filed
with the City Clerk of the City of Caldwell, for the construction of certain improvements authorised in said
Loco} Improvement District Mo. 48 of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, for the purpose of constructing in said
district improvements consisting of suitable curbs and gutters and street and alley valleys and for the
purpose of surfacing, grading and oiling the streets therein, be and the same are hereby approved.
Section 2. That the City Clark is hereby ordered to prepare and let invitations for bids and
publish the same in the News- Tribune, official newspaper of the City of Caldwell, on April 16, April 23,
and April 30, 1960, calling for the opening of said bids at the City Hall on May 2, 1960, at the hour of
$:00 o'clock P. M. in accordance with Section $0 -2936 of the Idaho Code.
Upon Roll Call those voting in the affirmative were: Vassar, Smith, Lubh, Shorb and Finley.
Negative: None. Absent and not voting: Eldredge.
Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and the Resolution adopted.
There being no further business to cone before the Council it was moved by Councilman Smith,
seconded by Councilman Vassar that Council recess to meet April.l8th, 1960. Motion carried.
