Absent Gordon. Owing to the absence of the City Clerk the mayor appointed Mr. W.C. The Mayor stated that this was the time fined for the consideration of bide in Local Street Improvement District No. 11; Thereupon it was moved by Saadmeyer aid seconded by Bollman, that all bids for the annsfuetYOu of the improvement in Local Street Improvement District No. 11, be rejected. mot Ian carried. That the City of Caldwell, purchase the material and hire the labor necessary for having the work done in Loral Improvement District no. 11; in accordance with the plane and specifications there,40r on.file in the office of the City 8'ngiaeer,'without the letting of any contract therefor, and without farther calling for bids. The motion for the adoption of the resolution was duly seconded by Leighty. The question'being "Shall the resolution pass?" Absent and not voting: Gordan. thereupon the mayor declared the motion carried and Resolution- No. $1, adopted and directed the Clerk to record th94 same upon the Journal of the, proceeds of the Council as a part of the minutes of this meeting, and thereupon the mayor in open session of the Counoil duly signs& and approved said resolution, and the Clerk thereupon signed and attested the same. The Clerk presented the applications for pool hall license or N. L. Bradley, 1. H. Waters, George Pranklin, and Y. A. martin, which were accompanied by the required license fee. Thereupon it was moved by Leighty and seconded by Johns that pool hall licbmses be granted to W. L. Bradley, I. 8.; Utere, George 8'ranklin and P. 6. martin, and the Clerk be directed to issue licenses to such applioants. motion oarried.
