Council met in adjourned session pursuant to adjournment on April
7, 1930, with Mayor MQCofinel presiding, and Councilmen Bollman, Dickens, Johns,
Leighty and Sandmayer present. Absent Gordon.
Owing to the absence of the City Clerk the mayor appointed Mr. W.C.
Dyer, acting City Clerk 6S4 a=onneed that the Council was in session for the
consideration of any business Which might lawfally. come begone it.
The Mayor stated that this was the time fined for the consideration
of bide in Local Street Improvement District No. 11; Thereupon it was moved by
Saadmeyer aid seconded by Bollman, that all bids for the annsfuetYOu of the
improvement in Local Street Improvement District No. 11, be rejected. mot Ian
carried.
Thereupon councilman Bollman intraftoed the following resolution and
moved its adoption:

A REBOLUTION PROVIDING FOR TED 2MORABH OF THE KATERIALB AND HIRING

Improvement District No. 14 for the City of Caldwell, Idaho, have been re.
footed and it appearing for the beet interest of the City and of said improve.

purchase the materials and hire the labor necessary for having the work done
without the letting o$ any contract therefor, and without the further calling
for bide= now, therefore `
. BE IT RESCLV0, by the Mayor am& Council cf�;ths City of Caldwell,
Idaho;
.Section 1. That the City of Caldwell, purchase the material and hire
the labor necessary for having the work done in Loral Improvement District no.
11; in accordance with the plane and specifications there,40r on.file in the
office of the City 8'ngiaeer,'without the letting of any contract therefor,
and without farther calling for bids.

The motion for the adoption of the resolution was duly seconded by
Leighty. The question'being "Shall the resolution pass?" The mayor directed
the Clerk to call the roll which resulted as followat Those voting in the
effirmstiver Bollmsn, Dickens, Johns, Leighty amd Sandmeyer, total five.
Those' voting im the negative. None. Absent and not voting: Gordan.
thereupon the mayor declared the motion carried and Resolution- No.
$1, adopted and directed the Clerk to record th94 same upon the Journal of the,
proceeds of the Council as a part of the minutes of this meeting, and thereupon
the mayor in open session of the Counoil duly signs& and approved said resolution,
and the Clerk thereupon signed and attested the same.
The Clerk presented the applications for pool hall license or N. L.
Bradley, 1. H. Waters, George Pranklin, and Y. A. martin, which were accompanied
by the required license fee. Thereupon it was moved by Leighty and seconded
by Johns that pool hall licbmses be granted to W. L. Bradley, I. 8.; Utere,
George 8'ranklin and P. 6. martin, and the Clerk be directed to issue licenses
to such applioants. motion oarried.
Thereupon it moved by Bollmen and seconded by Leighty that the
Council adjourn to reconvene on April 14, 1930, at 8 ;00 o'd].00k p.m. motion
carried.
