Council met in regular session pursuant to law with Mayor M000naei presiding, and Councilmen Bollman, Dickens, Gordon, Johns, Leighty and 8andmeyer present. Absent, Name. Owing to the absence of the City Clerk the mayor appointed Mr. W. 0. Dyer, acting Clerk, and announced that the Council was in session for the consideration of any business which might lawfully coma before it. Mr. J. H. Lowell and Lira. A. E. Laughlin, appeared before the Counoil and urged the Council to take action upon the matter of drilling a well -for the use of the swimming pool. It was moved by Gordon and seconded by Sa ighty that the matter of a well for the swimming pool be taken up for consideration by the Council at a meeting to be held on April 14, 1930. motion carried. The Mayor announced that this was the time fixed for consideration of bids for the installation of the improvement in Local improvement District 30. 11. Thereupon it was moved by bollmon and seconded by Leighty that all bids for furnish- ing materials and performing the work and labor for the construction of improvements in Local Improvement District Bo. 11, be made a special order of business for wedneeday Apv$l 9th, at 8:00 o'clock P.M. motion carried. The mayor snnpppoed that the Oomnoil would neat take up for a one ideration the bids for the construction of the improvement in Local Street Dnprovement District Bo. 9. 'Thereupon it was moved by Ssndmeyer and seconded by Dickens that all bids submitted for the furnishing of materials and performing the work am& labor for the construction of the improvement in Local street Improvement District Bo. 9, with the exception of the proposal submitted by H. J. MoHeel, be rejected, and that the proposal of H. J. MoReel be taken under advisement and made a special order of business at a meeting of the Council to be held on Monday, April 14, 1930, at 8;00 o'clock p.m. The question being on the. motion, the 039A called the roll with following results: Those voting in the affirmative: Boliman. Dickens, Gordon, Johns, Leighty and Sendmeyer. Those voting in the negative. Bone. Absent and not voting: Bone. Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried. Messrs, Gabbey & MoBeil appeared before the Council and requested that a rate be fixed for the repairing of sidewalks and curbing in Local Street Improve- ment District Bo. 10, where walko and. curbing had been out for the installation of the ornamental street lighting system, Thereupon it was moved by Sandmeyer and seconded by Leighty that Messrs. Gabbey and McNeil be paid at the rate of fifteen cents (S ,16) per square foot for repairing all sidewalks and seventy cents (S .701 lineal foot for repairing all curbing, in Local Street Improvement District Bo. 10, such repairing to be made where sidewalks and curbing had been out or damaged in installation of the ornamental lighting system in Local Street Improvement District Bo. 10, and all such repairs to be made at the points indicated by and under the supervision of the City &ngineer. Motion carried.
