Thereupon the Mayor d eclared Bill No 14, had passed and the Mayor in open session
of the Council duly signed and approved the Bill, and the Clerk duly signed and attested
the same which became Ordinance No. 587. The mayor directed the Clerk to make proper
entry of the same and to cause Ordinance No. 587, to be published in the Caldwell News -
Tribune, the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell, Idaho,
The Clerk read Affidavit of Publication of Bill No 10 Ordinance No. 588.
'Phis being the time set for the opening of Insurance bide the Mayor announced

APRIL 6th., 1942,
8 :00 P.M.
The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City Council met in the Council Room of the
City Hall, with the Mayor, H.E. McCluskey, presiding.
On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: Thurlow Bryant, Wilbur
Dakan, F. E. Newman, Floyd blunt, E.E. Fresher and C. n. McDannel.
The Minutes of March 6th., were reed and approved as read.
Mr. Graves representing the Federal Works Agency was present and discussed
a long-range program with the Mayor and Council.
Moved by Dakan, seconded by Newman that the City corporate with the Federal
Works Agency and that the City Clark and City Treasurer give their assistance in making
a financial history of the City of Caldwell during the past ten years. Motion ' 1. ed.

Moved by Blunt, seconded by Fresher that the Milk Ordinance be enforced beginnini
June 1st., 1942, Motion c
Members of the Junior Chamber of Commerce'met with the Mayor and Council to
discuss " Annual Cleanup Week ".
Mr, Vermaas requested the City to flush streets in the business district Friday
April 17th, also, that barrels be placed on the streets for rubbish and that City trucks
remove cans collected by children and used as admission to the American Theater.
The Mayor informed Mr. Vermaas that the City would cooperate with the Junior
Chamber of Commerce in this matter.
The Bills for March were read snd on motion by Bryant, seconded by Blunt that
these Bills be allowed and Warrants be ordered drawn for the various amounts all of which
had been approved by the Chairman of the Finance Committee. Motion carried.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION I OF ORDINANCE NO. 536 OF THE CITY OF CAL'DWELL,
IDAHO, ENTITLED - "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE SALE OF LOTS AND PERPETUAL CARET OF LOTS;
REGULATING THE PLANTING OF THEES AND SHRUBBERY, OR DECORATION OF GRAVES ON LOTS IN THE
CALDWELL CITY CEMETERY" BY PROBIDING FOR TEE PURCHASE PRICE AND FOR PERPETUAL CARE FOR
CERTAIN,BURIAL BLACES IN CERTAIN LOTS IN BLOCK 58 OF SAID C AI•r•I• CITY CEMETERY AND RE-

which was read for the first time and the Council proceeded to a consideration of Bill No.
3.6. It w as moved b y Dakan, aeconded by Bryant that the rules requiring that the reading
of a Bill on threeseparate days be suspended and that Bill No 'Il be read the second time
by title and the third time in full, section by s action and placed on its final passage.
The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the motion with the following results

by title and the third time in full, section by s action and placed on its final passage.
The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the motion with the following results
Those voting in the affirmative w ere: Bryant, Dakan,. Newman, Blunt, Frasher and McDannel.
Negative: None. Absent and not voting: None. The Mayor declared the motion had passed
by the necessary threefourtba majority and directed the Clerk to read Bill No 16, the
second time by title and the third time in full, section by section. The Clerk read the
Billas directed. The question then being "Shall Bill No 16, pass ?" The Mayor directed
the Clerk tooall the roll on the 4bove question which resulted as follows: Those. voting

Thereupon the Mayor declared Bill No 16, had passed and the Mayor in open
session of the Cnssn dulys igned and approved the Bill, and the Clerk dul7tmigned and
attested the -same -which became Ordinance No 589. The Mayor direoted the Clerk to make
proper entry of the saw and to cause Ordinance No 589, to be published in the Caldwell

,The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City Council met in the Council Room of the
City,Hall, with the Mayor, H. F, McCluskey presiding.
On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present; Thurlow Bryant, Wilbur
Dakan, F.S'. Newman, Floyd Blynt, E. Frasher and C. 0, McDannel.
The Minutes of April 6th., were read and approved as read.
Mr. S. f. Smith appeared before the Mayor and Council and stated that his.propert
In Fairaeres had never been platted but the Pioneer Irrigation District assessed this prope
the same as platted lots. Mr. Smith requested that this property be assessed on an nearag
basis. TSI s matter was referred to the Irrigation Committee.
Mr. Carl Kitchen of Boise presented a plan for codifying the.Ordinances of CS
at a coat of $500.

The Bills for April were road and on motion by Bryant,s eoonded by Dakan that
these Sills be allowed and Warrants be ordered drawn for the Various amounts all of which
