Francis Murray; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the following are designated as the Judges, Distributing Clerks Constables for their respective wards, to serve at the Special Municipal Election to be held April 18, 1950 For the First Ward, Mrs. Ruby Redman, Mrs. Olive Admyer, Mrs. Panay Ulman, Mrs. Henry Mends and Mrs. W. H. Divine as Judges, Mrs. Nellie Collins as Distributing Clerk a nd Mr. Wm Kimple as Cconstable. For the Second Ward,Mrs. John Turner, Mrs. Watson Ketchen, Mrs. Wilma Seech, Mrs. Fanny Black, Mrs. Nora Foster and Mrs. C. L. Bourl¢nd as Judges, Mrs. Nellie McKinney as Distributing Clerk and Mr. T. J. Blake as Constable. For the Third Ward, Mrs. Amelia McPherson, Mrs. Leo Davis, Mrs. Freda Hunt, Mr. C. D. Rush Nis a Cora Beatty as Judges, Mrs. Twyla Krall as Distributing Clerk and Mr. Ordel Royce as Constable. Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried. Thereupon the Mayor declared the :Resolution duly adopted. There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Councilman Fenrich, seconded by Councilman Olalayer that Council adjourn. Motion carried, O City Clerk. The Council met pursuant to call and acknpwledgement of notice in the following forma We, the undersigned Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, do each hereby acknowledge notice of a special meeting of said City Council to be held at the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the Vity of Caldwell, Idaho, at the hour of 8eoo o'clock P. M. on the 5th, day of April. 1950 for the transacting of all business in connection with the following obJecta A Resolution approving the Application of the Housing Authority of the "ity of Caldwell, Idaho for a Preliminary Loan to cover costs of surveys and planning in connection with the development of low -rent public housing, which object was sub- mitted to each of the undersigned in writing. The following Resolution was presented to the Mayor and Council by Councilman Glaisyer who moved the adoption thereof which motion was seconded by Councilman Fenrich. RESOLUTION BY COUNCILMAN GLAISYER. WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Caldwell, Idaho is applying to the Public Housing Administration in accordance with the provisions of the United States Housing Act of 1937, as amended, for a Preliminary Loan in the amount of $ 55,000.00 to cover the costs of surveys and planning in connection with the development of not to exceed approximately 150 dwelling units of low-rent public housing; and fK 2- f WHEREAS, there exists in the City of Caldwell, Idaho a need for such low -rent public housing at rents within the means of low- income families, especially families of living or deceased veterans and servic '- i men, which need is not being met by private enterprise, and WHEREAS, such a condition constitutes a menace to the health, safety, morals and welfare of the inhabitants of the City; ji NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY St COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CALDS4=, IDAHO: That the City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho does hereby approve the Application of the Housing Authority of the City of Caldwell, Idaho to the Public Housing Administration for a Preliminary Loan 1 , I in an amount not to exceed S 55,000.00, to cover the costs of surveys and planning in connection with the f development of not to exceed approximately 150 dwelling unite of low -rent public housing in the City of Caldwell, Idaho; and does hereby declare its intent to enter hereafter into an agreement with said Housing Authority for the local cooperation by the City in the provisions of said low -rent public housing which may I II be required by the Public Housing Administration pursuant to the United States Housing Act of 1937. as amended. Upon Roll Call those voting in the affirmative were: Glaisyer, Fenrich Burrell and Myers. Bettis. Absent and not voting: Blomquist. Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and the Resolution adopted. The Council met pursuant to call and,acknowledgement of notice in the following forms CALL AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF NOTICE We, the undersigned Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Caldwell.. Idaho, do each hereby acknowledge notice of a special meeting of said City Council to be held at the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, at the hour of Bi00 P. M. on the 19th, day of April, 1950, for the transaction of all business in connection with the following object: Canvassing of election returns of the Special Municipal Election held April 18th, 1950, and hearing protests in connection with the Proposed Local Sewer Improvement District, which object was submitted to each of the undersigned in writing. Mason, presid n Upon Roll Call the following Councilmen answered presents Wm Glaisyer, L. E, Burrell, John Myers, Fran Blomquist, Halo Fenrich and J. M. Bettis. The Mayor and Council resolved itself into a Canvassing Board for the purpose of canvassing the election returns of the Special Municipal Election held April 13th, 1950, The retunrs of the Precincts of the First, Second and Third Wards of said City, the whole of said constituting three election precincts, came duly on for canvassing vy the Board, and the said returns were duly and carefully examined by the Mayor and 1 II Council as a canvassing board and found to be correct and legally made, and the results thereof to be as lfollows: I I
