F. L. Crews representing the Oregon Short Line Railroad dompany appeared be- fore the :dayor and Council asking that the speed limit of 15 miles per hour for trains going through the City be raised to a higher rate of speed. The matter was taken under consideration. L. A. Hermon appeared before the Mayor and Gouncil asking that a sidewalk be conetruoted on the South side of Grant Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues. It was voted on motion of EcConnel, seconded by Davis, that the City Attorney be instructed to draw the proper resolution ordering the construction of said sidewalk. Minutes of last meetings read and approved. The olaim of C. W. Barry against the City of Caldwell, Idaho, for injuried re- ceived form a tall on an lop covered sidewalk on the corner of 8eventk and gleveland, was read by the Clerk but no action taken. It was voted on motion of Dutton, seconded by Davis, that the proposal of Van Dusen, Snell & Company to audit the City Books and Acoounts for the aum of $250.00. c. C. Gurwell, Supt.. of Parks, reported the receipts of Tourist Park for the month of March, 1929, as totaling $80.00. the kayor was instructed to issue a Proclamation to all residents and citizens designating the week of April 7, 1929, as "Clean Up Week ".
