COUNCIL CHAMBERS, MARCH 31, 1930, at 8 :00 p.m. Council met in adjourned session pureuptIt to adjournment on March 25, 1930, with Mayor•11000nnel presiding, and Councilman, Bollmen, Dickens, Gordon, Johns, Leighty and Sandmeyer, present. Absent, None. owing to the absence of the City Clerk, the Mayor appointed Mr. W. 0. Dyer Acting Clerk and announced that the Council was in session for the consideration of any business which might lawfully come before it. This being the date set for opening of all bids called for in Local Improvement District No. 11, the Clerk presented to the Counoil the Affidavit of Publication of the Notice of Receiving Bids in Lockl Improvement District No. 11, whioh affidavit was and is in words and figures as follows, to-wit- AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION STATE OF IDAHO ) 9 ®• County of Canyon,) ' Emile A. Shorb being duly sworn, deposes and says th$t he is foremen of CALDWELL PUBLISHING COMPANY, publisher of The Caldwell News- Tribune, a semi- weekly newspaper published at Caldwell, Idaho; that the said paper is in general circulation in the County aforesaid, and has been for a period of 78 weeks preceding first publication of this advertisement, a copy of which is attached hereto, and was published in the regular edition of said The Caldwell News- Tribune, three consecutive issues beginning with the issue of March 20, 1930 and ending with the issue of March 27, 1930. It was moved by Johns and seconded by Gordon that the,Clerk be instructed. to insert said Affidavit of Publication as a part of the minutes of this meeting. Motion carried. it was moved by Gordon and seconded by Bollman that the Clerk proceed to open the bids for furnishing the materials and doing the work and labor for the oonstruotion of a drainage 979tem in Local Improvement District No. 11., whereupon the following bids were opened and read by the Olerk. J. H. Forbes, Caldwell, Idaho 9624.00 Gabbsy & McNeil, Boise, Idaho 9174.00 Thereupon it was moved by Leighty and seconded by Dickens that all bids for the furnishing of material end labor for the construction of a drainage system in Local Improvement District No. 11, be taken under advisement by the Council and that the same be made a special order of business before the Council at the regular meeting to be hold April 7, 1930, at 8:00 o'clock p.m. Motion carried. It was voted on motion of Dickens, seconded by Leighty that the clerk be instructed to insert said affidavit of publication as a part of the minutes of this meeting. Thereupon it was voted on motion of Dickens, seconded by Leighty that the clerk proceed to open the bids for the Construction of said curb and gutter in Local Street improvement District No. 9; whereupon the following bids were opened and read by the clerk: J. Thereupon it was voted on motion of Bollmon, seconded by Johns that•all bids for the construction of said curb and gutter in Local otreet Improvement District No. 9 be taken under'edvisement by the council and be made a special order . of business at the meeting of the council to be held April 7, 1930 at eight• o'oloak P.M. Messrs. Gabbey & McNeil presented a claim for 44,236.15, for estimate on oontraot in Local Street Improvement District No. 10, for the montil of March. Thereupon it was moved by Gordon and seconded by Leighty that the claim of Gabbey & MoNe11 in the sum of §4,236.15, be allowed and that a warrant be drawn against the funds• of Local Street Improvement District No. 10, in payment of the same..
