Wednesday, March 27, 1912. Council met in regular session pursuant to ad-
journment, with Trayor Griffiths presiding and Councilmen, Adam, Adams, Bardeley,
Stunenberg, Walker, Zeh, present, Shorb, Clerk.
The matter of filing cometert plat was referred to the city attorney for
opinion.
Voted, on ,otion of &eh, that the Mayor be appointed,a committee of one to
carry into effect the following resolutions;
WHEREAS, the people of Caldwell and vicinity are being subject to unreason-
able demands and extortionate charges for telephone service, and Whereas, the elim-
inations of one of the systems heretofore maintained, and the natural conditions
of this section of Idaho, should entitle the people here to a better service at a
reduced charge;
Now thereforeb be it resolved by the Mayor and Oity Caned of the city of
nald +yell, that representatives from all of the cities and towns and rural didtricts
of this section be invited to meet with the people here at the city hall in Cald-
well, on the 10th day May, 1912, at two o'clock P.M. for 'he purpose of consider-
ing the advisability of esta0lishing municipal telephone systems for southwestern
Idaho and eastern Oregon, securing public utilities commissions, and other matters
of mutual and municipal interest:
Voted, on ,otion of Bardeley, council adjourn.
