and that the bid of Ryberg, McHugh & Cowley for the construction of said improvement, be,
and the same is hereby received, approved, and accepted, and that the following form of
proposed contract be executed by the City of Caldwell in the manner provided by low."
Motion was $ado by 11c0onnel, seconded by 1.1umford, that the above afreegid Res-
olution be approved, and that the Bond be executed in favor of the dity of Caldwell, Idah
in the sum of 42500.00. On the question as stated, the Mayor directed the Clerk to call
the roll with the following result;
AYES; DAVIS, DUTTON, JACKSON, MOOONNEL AND MCMFORD.
NAYEB: NONE.-,ABSENT. HOFI3IAN. Thereupon the Wjayor declared the motion carried by the
necessary 3/4 majority and the Resolution approved.
It was voted on motion of Dutton, seconded by -Jackson, that Gouncil adjourn to
perch 25, 1929, at 8 :00, P. tut.

Council met in regular session persuant to adjournment of Maroh 22, 1929, with
Mayor Dunlap presiding and 0ouncilmen DAVIS, DUTTON, HOFFMAN, JACKSON AND MCCONNEL, PRES:
ABSENT: IRWORD.
A proposal of Goo. B. Middleton to audit the books and accounts of.the City of
Caldwell, for the year ending the first Monday in May, 1929, for the sum of :$125.00, was
read by the Clerk. The matter was taken under consideration.
The Mayor appointed Deputy Registrars for the Muniaipal Election to be held
April 23, 1929, as follows;
first Word, Mrs. ',7111 Evans,
Second lard, lire. Clara N. Ballard,
Third Ward, Mrs. 17. L. 'Nooley,
It was voted on motion of Jackson, seconded by Moeonnel, that the appointment of
Deputy Registrars approved.
Goo. L. Orookham appeared before the mayor and Council, end advised them that
he was ready to surrender the lease on the 80 sore tract purchased from,by the city of
Caldwell, and would remove all the buildings at once. It was so agreed.

PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF JUDGES AND CLERMS OF THE ELECTION AND DESIGNATING THEIR
COMPENSATION; PROVIDING FOR THE COMPENSATION OF DEPUTY REGISTRARS; AND REPEALIRG ORDINANCE
NO. 262 ENTITLED 'AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE NOMINATION OF CANDIDATES FOR CITY OFFICES
TO AUTHORIZE PROCLAMATIONS AND REGISTRATION AND TO ORINAN AND REGULATE ELECTIONS IN THE
CITY OF CALDWELL, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 163 OF SAID CITY,'" was reed first time in
full.
Motion was made by 17000nnel, seconded by Dutton, that the rules requiring a bill
to be read on three separate days be suspended, and that 13111 No. 31 be rend second time

ABSENT: IWXFOaD. Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried by the necessary 3/4
majority. Bill No. 31 was read second time by title and third time in full section by
section and placed on its final passage. On the question as put by the 14ayor, "Shall
Bill 140. 31 pass "? The Mayor directed the Clark to oall the roll with the following
result;
AYES: DAVIS DUT'iON, HOF?MAN, JACKSON AND MOCONNEL.
MAYES: NONE.
ABSENT: IAUOORD. Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and Bill No. 31 now
become Ordinance No. 466. The Mayor and Clerk approved and signed eame in open session
of the Council. The Clerk was directed to cause same to be published in the Caldwell
Jews- Tribune the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, and recorded in the
Book of Ordinances.
It was voted on motion of Hoffman, seconded by Jackson, that the 1AUNICIPAL
ELECTION AND REGISTRATION NOTICE be approved and the Clerk cause same to Pe published in
the Caldwell News - Tribune the official newspaper of the dity of Caldwell. Idaho, and be
posted according to law. The said notice be entered in the Journal of the Council as a
part of the proceedings of this meeting, which is in words and figures as follows:
MUNICIPAL ELECTION AND REGISTRATION NOTICE.
"NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, That the regular biennial Paunioipsl Election, to be
in and for the City of Cgldwall. Idaho, will be held on Tuesday, April 23rd, 1929, on
which day the Polls will be open from 9 :00 a; m, until 7:00 p. m. at the following.dee-
ignated Polling Places:
"For the First Ward at the Canyon County Court House between 11th & 12th Aven-
ues on Albany Street.
"Por the Sedond Ward at the Office of Caldwell Sales ®o., at Corner of Blaine
Street and 9th Avenue.

"For the Third Plard at the City liall at Blaine St. and 7th Avenue.
"NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN That it shall be necessary for all electors to register

"Registration shall begin March 25th, 1929, and close April 20th, 1929 at 9:00
