For the purpose of definition for "apartment" as used in (A) and (B) of items 3 above, and apart-

Moved by Burrell, seconded by Cleveland a refund of $5.12 be allowed Walter Braun for over charge
on Irrigation Assessments.
Upon Boll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
Councilman Bettie informed the Council there were six petitions filed petitioning Local Improvement
Districts andrecommended they be included in one district.
The City Attorney stated these petitions could be included in one district but protests would be
r' h heard on each petition .
I II Therebeing no further business to come before the Council it was moved by CouncilmaiBettis,
seconded by Councilman Eldredge that Council adjourn. Motion carried.

We, the undersigned Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of C Idaho, do each
thereby acknowledge notice of a special meeting of the said City Council tobe held at the Council Chambers,
in the City Hall in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, at the hour of 5t00 o'clock P. M. on the 18th day of
h March, 1957, for the transaction of all business in connectir with the following objectt Receiving bids
for Local Improvement District # 38, which object was presented to each of the undersigned in writing

Upon Roll Call the following ng Councilman answered present: L. E. Burrell, L. P. Eldredge and J. M.
Bettis. Absent: Gen Cleveland and Emile Short.
' The Acting Mayor informed the Council this was the time set by notice for receiving bids for Local

'Improvement District # 38.
No bid was received.
Mr. J. 0. Young was present and'rtated he could not lower his bid on account of the high water table.

The City Engines rrecommended the former bid of J. 0. Young & Son, be accepted as adjusted to the
new quantities plus an additional $5iCO.00 the total Mich will be $682o.5o subject to the confirmation by
J. 0. Young & Son,
Moved by Eldredge,sscended by Bettis the tentative bid of J. 0. Young & Son be accepted.
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion wasunanimously carried.
Moved by Burrell seconded by Bettis the salary o' Bill Korns, Golf Professional for the City
Golf Club be $200 per monthfor a period of ten months and the City Attorney be instructed to prepare an
agreement with Mr. Korns to this effect.
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
The City Engineer reported that he had checked the petition filed with the Mayor and Council
petitioning the creation of a Local Improvement District forthe purpose of constructing curbs and gutters
and paving Oregon Avenue 225 feet North of the North line of Morrison Street to Logan Street and Morrison
Street from Id-ho Avenue to Oregon Avenue and found that more than sixty percent (608)of the property owners
within the proposed District had signed the petition.
The city Engineer reported that he had checked the petition filed with the Mayor and Council
petitioning the creation of a Local Improvement District for the purpose of constructing curbsand gutters
and paving on Washington Avenue between Ash Street and Linden Street and found that more than 60 percent
(608) of the property owners id thin the. District had signed the petition.
The City Engineer reported that he had checked the petition filed with the Mayor and Council
petitioning the creation of a Local Improvement District for the purpose of constructing curbs and gutters
and paving North Michigan Avenue from its intersection with "L" Street to its intersection with "N" Street
and found that more than sixty percent (608) of the property owners within the proposed District had signed
the petition.
The City Engineer reported that he had checked the petition filed with the Mayor and Council I
petitioning the creation of a Local Improvement District for the purpose of constructing curbsand gutters
and paving on Oak Street from Wisconsin Avenue to Illinois Avenue, Wisconsin Avenue from Oak to Ash and

found that mor€: than sixty percent (608) of the property owners within the District had signed the petition.
The City Engineer reported that he had checked the petition filed with the Mayor and Council
petitioning the creation of a Local Improvement District for the purpose of constructing curbs and gutters
and paying Logan Street from its intersection with Washington Street to its intersection with Wyoming j
Street and found that more than sixty percent (608) of the property owners within the proposed District had
signed the petition.
The City Engineer reported that he had checked the petition filed with the Mayor and Council
petitioning the paving of Palo Alto Street from its intersection with Paynter Avenue to its intersection
with Sunset Drive and also petitioning the creation of a Local Improvement District and found that more
than sixty percent (608) of the property owners within the District had signed the petition*
Moved by Bettis, seconded by Burrell the City Attorney be instructed to prepare the necessary papery
declaring the intention of the City to create and establish Local Improvement District No. 43. �
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried*
rherebeing no _further business to come before the Council it was moved by Councilman Eldredge. �I
