8:00 P. M.
Pursuant to adjournment of Reguler Meeting held on March Ist., 1937, the Coun-
cil met in the Council zooms of the City Hall, with the Mayor, Emery L. Vassar, presiding.
On Roll Call the following councilmen answered present: Edgar L. Oakes, r. D.
Mumford, W. S. Boynton, G. M. Fenrich, W.H. nollingsowrth and G. W. Montgomery. Absent e
None.
Moved by Councilman Mumford, seconded by Councilman Montgomery that Notice of
Municipal Election and Registration be published end posted in accordance with the're-
quirements of Section 49 -1501 and 49 -1502 of the Idaho Codes Annotated. Motion earried.
The Mayor appointed Mrs. Luella Hartenbower as Assistant Registrar.
A Notice was presented to the Mayor and Council by Mrs. C.E. Young regarding the
matter of an open drain thru Block 17 of Golden Gate Addition to the City of Caldwell,
Idaho, this :matter was referred to the City Attorney. -
Mr. T. B. Gowen presented a report from the Caldwell Park Commission Board.
Thereupon, Councilman Fenrich introduced Bill No B, Proposed Ordinance Number
543, bymFenrich entitled:
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHICIG THE PERMANENT LOCATION OF THE CHANNEL OF INDIAN CREEK,
DEFINING THE WIDTH OF THE BOTTOM OF THE STREAM, THE SLOPE OF THE BANKS AND THE TOTAL OVER-
ALL WIDTH OF STREAM AND BANKS OF St1I D CREEK, REGULATING THE CLEARANCE OF BRIDGES AND BDTLD-
INGS OVER THE CREEK, PROHIBITING TIM DEPOSIT OF ANY RUBBISH, DEBRIS OR WASTE MATERIAL ON
OR ALONG THE BM9KS OR IN THE SAID CREEK, AND PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY TO BE CHARGED FOR THE
VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE, AND REPEALING 41. ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IkJ CON-
FLICT HMIA71TH.
Which was read for the first time and the Council proceeded tb a consideration of Bill No.
8. It was moved by Montgomery, seconded by Hollingsworth that the rules requiring that the
reading of a bill on three separate days be suspended and that Bi11'No 8, be read the
second time by title and the third time in full, section by section and placed on its final
passage. The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the motion with the following
result: Those voting in the affirmative were: Oakes, Mumford, Fenrich, Boynton, Hollings -
Rorth emd Montgomery. Negative: None. Absent and not voting: None. The Mayor declared
the motion had passed by the necessary three - fourths magority and directed the Clerk to rea!
3ill No.8, the second time by title and the third time in full, section by section. The

the same and to cause Ordinance No. 543, to be published in the Caldwell News - Tribune, the
official )1ewapaper of the City of Caldwell, Idaho.
O Thereupon Councilman Oakes, introduced Bill No. 9, proposed Ordinance Number 544,
entitled:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCF. NO. 501 OF THE CITY OF CALVJELL, ENTITLED "AN
ORDINANCE DIVIDING THE CITY OF CALDWEll, IDAHO, INTO DISTRICTS OR ZONES AND PRESCRIBING RE-
STRICTIONS AND REGULATIONS AS TO HEIGHT, NUMBER OF STORIES, SIZE OF BUILDINGS AND OTHER
STRUCTURES, 2M PERCENT OF THE LOTS THAT MAY BE OCCUPIIM, THE SIZE OF THE YARDS, COURTS
AND OTHER OPEN SPACES, AND THE LOCATION AND USES OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LANDS, FOR
RESIDENCE; TRADE, INDUSTRY AND OTHER PURPOSES WITHIN THE SAID CITY", BY AMENDING SECTIONS

AMENDING SECTIONS 38 and 39, AND PROVIDING A PROCEDURE FOR THE CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY OF ANY
