Council met in regular session persuant to adjournment of march 6, 1929, with .Mayor uunlap presiding and councilmen liAVIS, DUTiON, HOFIMAN, TAUKSOR,MCCOEREL AND MUMFORD, 23ESENT. ABSENT: NONE. This being the dst set for opening bide to build . eourist Oabins and aoilst and shower Beth building. Swan, in the sum of 41218.00, be accepted, and that he furnish a suitable bond and oon- tract for the construction and completion of said Tourist Oabins and Toilet and Shower building. It was voted on motion of Hoffman, seconded by Jackson, that the city cancel all Sprinkling and Weed Outthng Taxes assessed against Lots 4 & 5, Block 19, Original Townsite to Celdwell, Idaho, in behalf of the American Legion. It was voted on motion of MoConnel, seconded by Hoffman, that the City Attbrney be instructed to enforce Ordinance No. 463, relative to the perking of Buses on Main Street. The Clerk read the monthly report of Ci#y Treasurer, Fire Chief, Sexton and Gasoline Reoord, and the same was ordered placed on file. The Board of Directors of the Pioneer Irrigation District together with the Clerk and Ugter Superintendent appeared before the Mayor and Council in the interest of Drainage and the construction of a Drain Ditch extending weet from Memorial Park. The matter was gone into at some length but no action taken. It was voted on motion of Jackson, seconded by Hoffman, that Counoil adjourn to larch 13, 1929, at 10:00, A. M. APPROVED: OR.� W�— - er . Council met in regular session persuant to adjournment of March 11, 1929, with Mayor Dunlap presiding and Councilmen DAVIS, DUTTON, JACKSON, MCCONNEL AND MUtAF'ORD, PRESE ABSENT: HOFFIW. This being the date set for opening bids for the construction of a Drain Ditch from.Mamorial Park running along the south aide of the idunicipal Airport. The Clerk opened the following bids: 67. H. Puckett Co., Boise, Idaho 20V per cubic yd. o. H. Robinson, Ualdwell, Idaho 16X " " Ryberg, b1cHugh & Cowley, Boise, Idaho 12¢ " " It was voted on motion of MoConnel, seconded by Jackson, that the bids be placed on file to be taken under consideration, ,­1d b, L✓-J" Counailmen Datton called attention that a certain Highline Dragline..for $2000.0 I i i ll i J The Mayor appointed Dutton, IdaO'onnel and Fred 3oss as a committee to investigate the matter and report beak to the Council. J. B. Gowen of the Airport Commission called attention to the dounoil, that if the enteranoe to the Airport was established at the HE corner on the Wilder highway, permission should be gotten from the Oregon Short Line Railroad Company to cross the railroad. The matter was referred to Supt. Porter. It was voted on motion of McConnel, seconded by Jackson, that Gounoil adjourn to March 15, 1929, at 7 :30, P. 24. APPROVED: OR. N. Burns appeared before the Oonncil asking that the City co- operate with the Burns Chevrolet Co, in regard to establishing a systematic Auto Parking on the vacant lots corner Arthur Street and Ninth Avenue. It wag voted on motion of Jackson, seconded by 'Jumford, that She Mayor appoint a Committee to work out a plan with Mr. Burns. The Mayor appointed on the committee; Oounoilmen Jackson and Dutton. the matter of conatrucylon of the Brain Ditch for Memorial Park was considered but no action taken. !''red L. Lilly and 'Uill Evans appeared before the (3ouncil in the interest of Radio owners of the city, and asked that some steps be taken towards the passage of a Radio Urdinance that would clear up the noise and interference caused by the eleorical power lines, telephone lines, telegraph lines qnd other electrical machinery and appli- ances, They also presented a petition signed by 124 residents and taxpayers being j Radio Owners asking for the passage of a ladio Ordinance. The Mayor appointed the Oity Attorney and Fred L. Lilly as a committee to draft I an Ordinance regulating radio interference.
