There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Councilman Blomquist, r seconded by Councilman Luby that Council adjourn. Motion carried. The Council met pursuant to call and acknowledgment of notice in the following form: CALL AND AUNO4,LEDGMENT OF NOTICE We, the undersigned Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho do each hereby acknowledge notice of a special meeting of the said City Council to be held at the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, at the hour of 5:00 o'clock P. M. on the 9th, day of "arch p '.i 1959, for thetransaction of all business in connection with the following object: Receiving and opening bids for Local Improvement Dist±ict Number 46, which object was presented to each of the undersigned in " writing. Upon Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: Fran Slomquist, Max Luby, L. P. Eldredge E and Leland Finley. The Mayor informed the Council the meeting was called to receive bids for Local Improvement � District Number 46. The following bids were received and opened: it Glenn Sackett $9540.21 + G Murray -Burns 8563.90 'I Crane & Excavation Cc 1449o.45 Foss & Holmes 9666.59 J. 0. Young 7458.46 Guinn- Robbins 10731.75 Allington Construction 9127.76 Watkins Construction 9601.07 These bids were referred to the Engineer to check extensions. The Engineer reported the bids were in order. Moved by Blomquist, seconded by Finley the low bid be accepted, provided the bidder was qualified I ..d the Mayor and City Clerk 'oe authorized to execute the contract. Upon Roll Call it anoeared the motion was unanimously carried, VIII Councilman Eldredge brought to the aLtention of the Council a statement in the Caldwell Times to I the effect the Planning Commission advocated getting behind one candidate for mayor. The Mayor stated the statement was not made by the Planning Commission but by an interested group �cf citizens. There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Councilman Blo °euist, flseconded by Coanncilman Luby that Council adjourn. Motion carried. I Mayor. City Clerk
