The Council met pursuant to call and acknowledgment of notice in the following form: I I j CALL AND ACKNOI^ILEDGMENT OF NOTICE We, the undersi.rned Mayor and Council Members of the City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho do each hereby acknowleu, -- lice of a special meeting of said Council to be held at the Saratoga Hotel in the City of Caldwell. Idaho, at the hour of 12tOO o'clock A. M. on the 8th day of March, 1956, for the transaction of all business in connection with the following objects Consideration of a proposed franchise by the Caldwell Cooperative Gas Association, Inc, for the distribution of natural gas in the City of Caldwe". which object was submitted to each of the undersigned in writings I WITNESS our signatures this $th day of March, 19566 is may.... Burrell, George Cleveland, Emile Shorb, L. P. Eldredge and J, M. Bettis. The Mayor informed the Council the meeting was called to take uD the matter of a franchise with the Caldwell Cooperative Gas Association, Inc., for the distribution of natural gas. The franchise was studied by the Counai1. Whereupon it was moved by Councilmen Bettis, seconded by Councilman Burrell the City accept the franchise as presented by the Caldwell Cooperative Gas Association, Inc. Upon Roll Call the followw ng Councilmen voted in favor of the motions Blomgid st, Burrell, Shorb, Cleveland, and Bettis. Negative: Eldredge, Absent and not voting: None. Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion had carried by the necessary three- fourths majority. Burrell. � The Mayor informed the Council the meeting was called to discuss pnrmpmxRVa proposed ordinance l�,setting rates for sewage disposal and sale of bonds for financing the sewage disposal plant. it Kenneth Howard requested permission to connect with the City sewage system. City Engineer Lewis informed the Council this property was outside the City Limits. 111 Moved by Eldredge, seconded by Cleveland that Mr. Howard be notified by letter t'ais property i �would have to he annexed by the City before sewer connection could be made. Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
