AYES: CONLEF, DUTTON, KIMBROUGH, MUMFORD, MCCONNEL, AND WHEELER.
HAYES AND SENT: NONE, The Mayor deoalred the motion had passed unanimoubby and directed the
Clerk to rea Bill No. 26 the seoond time by title and the third time in full, seoiticn by section,
all of which was done, and then on the question, as put by the Mayor, shall Bill No. 26 pass; the
Clark was directed to oall,the roll, which resulted as follows:

SUN OF MONEY TO PROVIDE FOR THE EXPENSE NECESSARY FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE BRIDGE ACROSS INDIAIZ 9 Y

WHEREAS, it is provided by Section 4066,ldaho Compiled Statutee, that the Caty Council may order
by two-thiro s, vote, the repair of restoration of any improvement, the necessity for which is caused
by any cause ty or accident happening after the annual appropriation is made: and,
WHEREAS, That certain bridge across Indian Creek on Ninth Avenue,between Arthur and Blaine O
Streets in t e City of Caldwell_ become so deteriorated and unsafe as to require immediate replace-
ment, in order to properly safeguard the lives and safety of the citizens of the City of Caldwell,
and the tray lling public;and,,the City Council of the City of Caldwell, by two - thirds vote, has
heretofore ordered the restoration of said bridge, and that pursuant to said order said bridge has .
been reconstructed and restored; therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho:
Seotioi 1. That an emergency existed whereby it became necessary that the City of Caldwell
immediately replace that oerhhin bridge across Indian Creek on Ninth Avenue, between Arthur and
Blaine Stree a in said City, in order to protect and safeguard the lives and safety of the citizens

BLAINE STREETS, IN SAID CITY AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY TREASUER TO PUCHA9E NOTES OF SAID CI
A PORTION OF THE CEMETERY LOT PERPETUAL CARE FUND THEREFOR.
WHERWAS,Parauant to h'eaolution No. 50, passed and approved by the Mayor and Council
City of Caldwell,Idsho, on March 7th, 1927, the Mayor and Finance Committee were authorzi
borrow a sufficient amount of money to provide for the cost of replavement of the bridge a

WHEREAS, The Cemetery Lot Perpetual Care Fund, has on deposit in the First "ational' Be
Caldwell, Idaho, an amount in excess of $4000.00 which said deposit is drawing interest at
rate pf four per cent per annum, and it ''appearing that it is for the best interest of said
that the same be invested at a higher rate of interest; therefore be it resolved -
RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho:
Section 1. Thu ttherb be issued notes of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, in the prinoi
of not exceeding 04000.00, the proceeds thereof to be used in paying the cost of the repla
of the bridge across Indian Creek, on Ninth avenue, between Arthur and Blaine htreets in _a
City, authorized by Resolution No..50, passed and approved March 7th, 1927, said noted to
April let, 1927; to bear interest at the rate of seven per cent per annum, psysbil semi -an
