The nuestion being "Shall Bill No, 11, proposed Or- finance No. 561 pass ?" The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the above question hich resulted as follows; Those voting in the affirmativecere: F.D. Mumford, W.E.Babcoekj I' W. H. Odle,, G. M. Fenrich and Norvil T. Hinds, Those voting in the negative; None. Absen and not voting: Edger L. Oakes, Thereupon, the Mayor declared Bill No. 11, proposed Ordinance No. 561 duly passed and the Mayor in open session of the City Council duly signed and approved the Bill and the, Jerk duly s gined and attested the same which became Ordinance No: 561 of the City of Cald- well, and the Mayor directed the Clerk to mske proper entry of the same in the Ordinance Books and minutes of the City of Caldwell and to cause Ordinance 1 561 to be published in the Caldwell clews- Tribune, the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell, Idaho. The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City Council met in the Council Room of the City Hall, with the Mayor, W.R. Hollingsworth, presiding. On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: Edgar L. Oakes, W. E. Babcock, G. 19. Fenrich, and Norvil T. Hinds. Absent; F.U. Mumford and W. H. Odle. The Minutes of the previous meet?.ngs were read andspproved ad read. The Clerk read the report of the Arbitration Board in the matter of the City of Caldwell vs. Martha Gilgan Sarchett. Mr,S.Ben Dunlap representing Hugh Ackley in the case of Hugh Ackley vs, City of Caldwell, at als, appearedbefore the Vayor and Council and presented a bill for $229.00 Costs in said case. i Moved by Babcock, s ec nded b-, Hinds that this bill be included in the appropriat, for 1939 -1940. Motion carried, Mr. Oakes did not vote. Mr. F. L. McKay appeared before the mayor and Council and stated that he wishe� to operate two taxis in the City and also that r parking space be designated. i This matter was referred to the Street Committee and the Chief of Police. The Clerk read Affidavits of Public -tion of Ordinances No. 560 and 561. Mr. Odle appeared and was marked present. The Bills for February were read and on motion by Babcock, sec coded by Oakes that these Bills be allowed and Wfirrants be ordered drawn for the various amonts all of which had been approved by the Chairman of the Finance Committee,. *.Motion carried.
