Council meet in regular sesnion with `"ayor "red P. Boyes, presiding, present,
Councilmen Ackley, Dement, Porbes, Harrington, cayman and San'_erg, S. Pan Dunlap, Clerk,
when the followinE^ business was transacted:
The petition of the %rman T,and Company et al for the vacation or the lots
and alleys in block^ CO, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 38 of k"ountain View Addition to the City of
Caldwell, Idaho, and for tl.e vacation of Oak, Uaple and Talnut Streets between washingt.on
and "'yoming Avenues was read. T1'e petition J. Jester Jr, f'or the vacation of
hazel Ptreet between '"yoming and — anhington Avenues and for permission to cultivate and
need to alfalfa Hazel Ftreet between P"ontana and '"yoming Avenuea and "'Yoming Avenue
between F.lm and Hazel Stre^_ts wan also read. lfr. V. ' ^. rorman being present explained that
it was desired to Pave this property vacated for the purpose of obtainine a reduction in
the water tax thereon and for convenience in farming.
It was voted upon motion of Dement that the petitions be granted.
The minutes op the sessions lel.l during the month of February, 1P16 were
read and it was voted upon motion of Barrington that the name be approved.
The following bills which had been o.k'd by the Finance Committee were read.
It was voted upon motion of Ackley that the same be nllowed and warrants be ordered
drawn on the various funds in payment of the same as follows¢

The reports of the follcwing officers for the month of February, 1P16, were

Superint.nient of Streets and City Clerk. The report of the City Treasurer for the
quarter ending January lst., was also read. It mar voted upon motion of Tlayman,
that the reports he approved and ordered placed on file.

The following resolution and petition was introdur.ed by Councilman Dement.

according to the plans heretofore proposed and submitted by the "Pioneer irrigation
nistrict will relieve the City of Caldwell from t.hroatened loss from floods, and from _
damages from overflowing of Sezrer T.ateral 'To. 4, and will supply approximately
cubic ,yards of sand - gravel material of tb^ best nl:olity for use in surfacing the streets
and roads of the City of 0ald:aall,

City Attorney 'd!alt�rs, upon inquiry, stated that the City could not legally
enter into such a contract as proposed by the above resohation ant petition.
