Fred Uitchell, Chas Sanberg and ;J Grant ,lard.
L I:IcCormiek appeared before th.. Boundil and presented a petition
signed by residents of Blaine Z"eet asking that Maine Ltreat be included in the
paving District, and upon motion Councilman .;ard and seconded by Councilman
�,anbergsame was placed on file to be taken upz:ith other paving ordinances.
LL— ii _ liurtt presented a pe�ition to the Council asking that the
Council pass an ordinance I:ermitting the Picture Shows to open on Sunday, but in
presenting same he asked that action be deferred far thepresent and that the voters
be permitted to vote on the auestion at the nett City Eleotion. _he Zlayor called
upon several Cotizens present for an expression, which seemed to practically
unanimous in favor of leaving it to a vote of the people. ;l.ereupon Councilman Fred

Idaho; That at the general City election to be held in April 1919, there be
submitted to the legally qualified electors of said City, the question whether
the !loving Picture Theatros shall be permitted to be open and run and give entertain
ments on Sunday.

L. Dorman appeared before the Council and presented a petition of the
Caldwell Band asking that a Band Iuastav b -� appoin�od in the place of Iur Fisk
who had.left to':in, and on motion same was referred to the i.Iayor wi'Lhpower to act.
; Cy Deoker asked for a lease for that unused portion of theCeLietery
Grounds lyla6 under Canyon Hill on the East to be used for a Fur Farm and on motion
same was. referred to the Cemetery Committoetiilth power to act.
,ur I A Garrison complained of the condition of the roadin his neighbor-
hood and same was referred to the Steeet Committee for investigation.
The minutes of last regular and spacial meeting was read and on motion of
Councilman hitohell same was approved.

That an emergency exists on a000unt of the 3088 by fire of the City

Sprinkler, and there is immediate necessity for the replacement thereof:
That the purchase of a new sprinkler is hereby authorized, and the sum of
Three thousand Dollars, the proceeds of the fire insurance policy, which co vered
the sprinkler that was destroyed; and which is now in the hands of the City Treasurer
be and is hereby appropriated as a cash payment on such new sprinkler so authorized
to be purchased.
Passed by the Council this Ord. day of March 1919.

that the rules be suspended and that t7:o reading on thresseperate days be dispensed
with and that Bill 110. 30 be read the second tmme by title and the third time in full
and placed on its final passage.
The roll being called on the motion, the vote resulted;
