COUNCIL CHAMBERS, March 2nd., 1942, 8:00 P. M. The Regular Monthly Meeting of the pity Council met in the Council Room of the ty Hall, with the Mayor, H.E. McCluskey, presiding. on Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present. Thurlow Bryant,rWilbur ken, F, E, Newman, Floyd Blunt, E. E. Fresher, Absent; C. 0. McDennel. The Minutes of Feb. 2nd., were read and approved as read. Mr. Hovey met with the Mayor and Council and discussed the Milk Ordinance. Moved by Fresher,-seconded by Bryant that the Milk Ordinance be taken under ad- sement for thirty days. Motion carried. Mr. Medlin,manager of the Airport requested the City to place a night guard at 3 Airport. Moved by Blunt, seconded by Bryant thet a',night guard be placed at the Airpol't til the lat., of May. Motion carried. � _i i L (' L The following Resolution by Councilman Blunt was read. RESOLUTION. WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Clerk did pursuant to R of the City duly adopted January 19th., 1942, and on behalf of the City didexecute in writing consent to assignment of Airport Agreement by Mack S. Johnston to Jack W. Medlin and John'Medlin, and,' WHEREAS, the said Jack W. Medlin and John Medlin now desire to build an addition to the hangar on the Airport w?iich had heretofore been leased to Mack S. Johnstone and assigned by him as aforesaid, end, WHEREAS, the said Medline desire to pay allexpenses in connection with additions and _the construction thereof and retain title thereto and desire the right to removal of the same at the termination of said lease agreement, and, WHEREAS, the erection of said addition to said hangar under said conditions is to the advantage of the City of Caldwell, NOW,THF,REFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Clerk of the City of Caldwell on behalf of the City are hereby authorized to execute in writing the consent of the City to the erection of the additions to said hangar by the said Medlins and to provide that such additions be built at the expense of the Medlins, who are to retain title thereto with the right to remove some at the termination of the Airport Agreement between Mack S. Johnston and the City. Councilman Bryant, moved the adoption of the foregoing Resolution and Councilman Bgkan, seconded the Motion. It was unanimously voted upon. Thereupon the Mayor and City Clerk executed said consent at open meeting of the Council and the Clerk was directed to file a copy in the City records and to deliver a copy to the Medlins, The Bills for February were read and on motion by Bryant, seconded by Dakan that these Bills be allowed and Warrants be ordered drawn for the various amounts all of which had.been approved by the Chairman of the Finance Committee. Moved by Fresher, seconded by Blunt that this appointment be confirmed. Motion carried. The Nayor informed the Council that this was the time set for the second reading of Bill No 14. It was moved by Newman, seconded by Fresher that the rules requiring that the reading of a 8111 on threeseperste days be suspended and that Bill No 1+4, be read the second time by title and the third time in full, section by section and placed on its final passage. The Minutes of March 6th., were read and approved as read. Mr. Graves representing the Federal Works Agency was present and discussed a long -range program with the Mayor and Council. Moved by Dakan, seconded by Newman that the City corporate with the Federal " Ifforks Agency and that the City Clerk and City Treasurer give their assistance in making a financial history of the City of Caldwell during the past ten years.
