met in regular session pursuant to adjournment, there being no quorum present council

Tuesday March 1, 1910. Council met in regular session rursuant to adjournment
with Mayor Gowen presiding, and Councilman Clark, Farrar, Gartin, Paynter present.

The matter of whether or no the sewer contractor must bid on the {sewer bibnds
in order to receive them on his contract was referred to the city attorney for his
opinion.
Councilman Harris enters.
A motion was made by Farrar that the street committee, - together with the
city engineer be instructed to make an extra span at the Seventh Avenue and Kimball
avenue bridges and to repair all other bridgaw in such manner an deemed necessary by
them. The roll being called on the notion, the vote resultedl
Ayes -- Clark, Farrar, Gartin, Harris, Paynter - -5.
Nays - -0. Absent /- Paynter. So the motion prevailed.
In the matter of extending the sewer down Railroad alley from Sixth.Avenue
to Third avenue, the same was referred to the City Rheineer for estimates of cost and
to the City Attorney #o prepare the proper Ordinances and resclut ions,
The City Attorney wan asked to furnish opinion on the matter of whether or
no the city had the power to remove and keep removed buildings from Indian Credk, and
if it had that power, what the proper proceedings were to remove the same,

Voted, on motion of Farrar that thn City Engineer check up and have prepared
a lint of all sidewalk deattoyed by flood.
Bill No. 37, by Farrar, antitlted, "An Ordinance to provide for the issuing and
selling of municipal coupon bonds of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, in the Bum of Fifty
Thousand Dollars, for the purpose of providing for the construction and maintenance
of necessary additional water works for said city and suppluing the same with water,
and to provide for the pnyment thereon ", read the !first time.
A motion was made by Farrar that the rules be suspended and the readings on
three separate days be dispensed with rnd that Bi.. Dro. .97 be r,:ad the second time by
title and the third time in full and placed on its final passage. The roll being
called on the motion, the vote resultedi

So Btll No. 37 passed, becoming Ordinance No. 154.

Council Chambers, City of Caldwell, Monday evening, March 7, 1910, Council
met in regillar session with Mayor Gowen presiding and Councilmen Elmer A. Clark,
R. Farrar,'J. G. Gartin, Jas. Harris, 1. N. Paynter, present; C. J. Shorb, 91erk,
when the following business was transacteds
Mr. Armstrong, representing the Rocky Mountain Bell Telephone Co., addressed the
Council on the matter of pu *ting the telephone wires under ground.
J. 0. Andre made verbal complaint that there was an overcharge for his water
during January and February, 1910. A motion was made by Clark that that matter of
rebates be referred to adjust and present'elaims. The motion was withdrawn: The
claims for water rebates were then referred by the Mayor to the Water Voamittee and
Superintendent of Tater Works for adjustment.
Voted - , on motion of Chdrk, that the rpatter of procuring fire escapee for the
City Hall be again referred to the Mayor.
