This is the renort of the meeting held Thurs afternoon at which were present five members of the City Council, the Cite Snpineer, the Mayor and Chet Moulton, Civil Aeron+.ntics Director 'or the State of I -nho. The following conclusiona ,.sere reached. 1 -- If an- future federal aid is to he obtained this area must be protected and that some definite action toward this goal mist .,e taken b- the pity. a. Price of City Code Moved by Vassar, seconded by Luby the price of the new City Code be set at 525.00 a ropy and and additional $10.00 per year to keep copy up to date. Unon Poll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried. Landfill 0 aerator. Councilman Short discussed the City entering into a contract for a landfill operator. 'Mov =.d by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Eldredge City's representative on the Sanitati Committee be instructed to reconanend t.o the Cnimsittee the contract be let for bid, Uncn Roll Call it anneared the motion was unanimously carried, County Weed Control iloard (City aqn intments) Mayor Simnerman recommended the anoointment of Councilman Luby and Pete Hamon as members of the County Weed Control Board, term to be set by the Board. Moved by Councilman Finley, seconded by Councilman Vassar these appointments be confirmed. Upon Roll C it 7noeared the motion was unanimously carried. Water Meter apolic-tion(Gerald Tslbot) City Envineer reported Gerald Talbot ias m ade anplication for a water meter, also, this line is otmed by 0. T. Sanders and he has been charelnP 1150 to hook up to this line. No action was taken at this time. Qater Meter request (Harold Bivine) Harold Bivins requested a water line and meter for property located in Hillerest Addition(street has not been named). Councilman Smith stated the City could not run a line to the property at this time. Pop Machine(.;_1£ Club iio.:se) It was broucht to the attention of th PSayor and Council the nop machine located at the Calf Club House was owned by the City and should be replaced. It was unanimously agreed by the Council the City would not provide a pop machine for the Golf Club House. Anpointm =nt to Galdwell Armo y Assici -ition, Inc. Mayor Simmerman informed the Council the Caldwell Armory Association has re- orvanized under the Name of Caldwell Armory Association, Inc and have reouested a member of the City Council be a000inted as a member of the board, to serve for a term set uo by the organization. Thereuron hayor 3immerman announced the anoointment of Councilman Shorb to the Caldwell Armory Association, Inc. I� Moved by Councilman luby, seconded by - ouncilman Smith this anoointment be confirmed. Uaon Roll Call it anoeared the motion was unanimously carried. I, n. #48 5,938.71 r.1ID- FEJRJAR° 1 61 :$26,255,22 Resolution No.. 33 { Forty Hour Week for City Employees) Therennon Councilman Smith introduced the following Resolution and moved theadootion thereof, which motion was seconded by Councilman Luby: RE,&,Lit'I'ION NO. 33 By COUNCI'. -TIAN 31,1TH WHEPEAS, Certain employees of the City of Cal dwell are recuired to work on a 44 -hour basis, and others required to work on a 4b - hour week basis; and JH?FT!AS, It is deemed in the hest interests of the City of Caldwell that no employees, with the exeeotion of those in the Police and Fire Departments, and also ditch riders during the irrigation season, should be rem!ired to work only a 40 hour week; NOW,. THEREFORE, HE IT RBSOLVEQ) By the Mayor and City Council that all emnloyees of the Citv of Caldwell shall, effective the first day of Farch, 1961, be recuired to perform a work week of 40 hours per week. This resolution shall not aooly to members of the Police Department, Fire Department, or to ditch riders durinx the irrigation season.
