COUNCIL CILLMDERS, FEBRULPy 19, 1934. -
8:00 P. M. ,
A Call Meeting of the City Council met in the Assembly Room of the City Hall,
with the:Mayor, Emery L. Vassar presiding.
On Roll Call the following Councilmen were present: E. L. Oakes, W. S. Boynton
C- E, Bales, G. W, Montgomery, G. M. Fenrich and W, R. Hollingsworth. Absent: None,
The Mayor announced that this was the time for the ocrosideration of ,rotests for
end against amending the Dairy Ordinance.
The City Attorney read the Dairy Ordinance and the the Mayor asked if anyone
present Had anything to say. A number of people in the audience discussed the matter both
for and against the proposed amendment.
Motion by Ross Colvard seconded by 'dl. P. Jones that the Dairy Or should
not be amended. Motion carried.
The Council thereupon adjourned to the Council Room.
The Clerk read a letter from the Pioneer Irrigation District asking for a new
contract.' The matter was left with the N'�or to investigate.
The Mayor requested that the parking lines on the streets be repainted.
The Retail Merchants Association asked that the parking be changed to parallel
on So. Kimball.
,The City Engineer delivered a message from Mr. John Smeed stating if drive ways
could be made on his property on the corner of Kimball and Dearborn the city could use
same for public parking.

duly seconded and carried, declared adjourned.

The City Attorney reported that the 0. a L. would put in an asphalt crossing
on 9th Street as soon as the Kimball Street bridge is completed.
A report was made by Councilmen Oakes and Bales on the pur chasing of a spraying
machine. The Mayor requested the Committee to investigate further.
"r. Boynton expressed .the appreciation of the community for the street light in-
stalled on the corner of Ohio and Linden.
On motion duly made and seconded the meeting was declared adjourned.

The Regular Monthly Leeting of the City Council met in the Council Room of the
City Hall., with the Mayor, Emery L. Vassar presiding.
On Roll Call, the following Councilmen answered present: Edgar L. Oakes, W. S.
Boynton, C. E. Bales, G. M. Fenrich, G. W. Montgomery and W. R. Hollingsworth.
The Minutes of February 5th, and 19th, were read and approved as read.
Mr. Herman Voight appeared before the Council and asked to lease Block 69 of
Qountain View Addition. Councilmen Bales and Oakes explained to Mr. Voight that' City
9ould lease the block under the following conditions: that all back Irrigation Taxes be
laid, which amount to `43.91, also the Irrigation Taxes for 1934 -1935. Mr. Voight agreed
:o the conditions.
- Motiop'by Boynton seconded by Montgomery that the City lease Block 89 of Mountain
'law Addition to Mr. Voight.
On Roll Call the following Councilmen voted in favor of the Motion. Oakes, Bales,
toynton, Fenrich, Montgomery and Hollingsworth. Those opposed none. Motion carried.
The Mayor requested the City Attorney to draw up a lease for Mr. Voight.
.An application for renewal of taxi license for L. R. Deal was read.
Motion by Montgomery, seconded by Fenrich that this license'be, granted. Motion
Harry Meek appeared before the Council and asked if the City would consider a
rade for *hQ lQts now used by city as horse corral and owned by R. R. Robertson for some
ther lots in town, the matter was referred to the City Hall Committee for further in-
estigation.
The Bills for February were read and on motion by Bales, seconded by Montgomery
iat these bills be allowed and warrants be ordered drawn for the various amounts all of
iieh had been approved by the Chairman of the Finance Committee. Motion carried.
