Bill No 14. by Zeh entitled, "An ordinance granting to the Bever River Power Co- mpany, its successors and assigns, the authority, tight, privilege and franchise to construct, locate, erect, operate and maintain works, poles, wires, subways, conduits, and electrical conductors, with the necessary guards, supports., cross arms, feeders and other necessary appurtenances and appliances for the reception into the city of Caldwell and transmission in and through the same and distribution of electricity and electrical currents for the purposes of furnishing electricity for light, heat and power, or other purposes, to the City of Caldwell and the inhabitants thereof, and any other parsons or corporations desirous of using the same, along, in, across, over, upon and under the streets, alleys, avenues, lanes, bridges, and public''placee'in the city of Caldwell, County of Canyon, State of Idaho, andproviding for the terms and conditions under w}ieh the said authority is granted," was read the first time, Voted, on motion of Bardeley, that council adjourn until Thursday evening, Feburary 15, 1912. at 7 o'clock. Thursday evening, Feburary 15, 1912. Council met in regual session pursuant to adjournment with Mayor 8riffiths, presiding, and Councilman Adam, Adams, Bardeley, Stunenberg, Walker, Zeh, president, 9horb, Clark. Voted, on motion of Zeh, that council adjourned until Friday evening, Feburary 15, 1912, at 7330 o'clock. Friday evening, Feburary 16, 191P. council met in re.gualr session pur- suant to adhournment with Mayor ¢riffithe, presiding, and Counoiln= Adam, Adams, Bardeley, Stunenberg, Walker, Zeh, president, Shorb, Clerk. Bill No. 13, entitled, "An ordinance granting to William Mainland, his successors and assigns, the authority, right, privilege and franchise to construct locate, erect,operate, and maintain works, poles, wires, subways, condttite,sand electrical conductors, with the necessary guards, supports, cross arms, feeders, and other necessary appurtenances and appliances for the reception into the city c Caldwell and transmission in and through the same and distribution of electricity and electriegl,currents, for the purposes of furnishing electricity for light, heat and,power, or other purposes, to the city of Caldwell and the inlsabitants thereof, and any other persons and corporations desirous of using the same along, in, actoea, over, upon and under the streets, alleys, avenues, lanes, bridges, and other public places in the city of Caldwell, bounty of Canyon, State of Idaho, and providing for the terms and conditions under which the said authority is grant was read the third time and placed on its final passage. On the question shall B1 No. 3, pass the roll being called the vote restltedt .Ayes- Adem,.Adama, Bardsley, Stunenberg, Walker, Zeh. -6 Nays and absent- None. So Bill No. 13, passed becoming Ordinance No.207. i Bill No.15, by Zeh, entitled, "An ordinance repealing ordinance No.39, of the city of Oaldwell, Idaho, approved Feburary ?, 1902, entitled "An ordinance granting a franchise to W. R. Sabres and his aesigna to use the streets and alleys Of the city for the purpose of erecting and maintaining poles and appliances for supplying electric beat, light and power and providing the terms and conditions thi of ", ad consenting to the assignment to Caldwell Power Company, Limited, of the franchise granted to William Mainland by ordinare No. 207 of the said city of well approved this 16th day of Feburary 1912," was read the first time. A motion was made by Zeh that the rules be euppended and the readings on three separate days be dispensed with and Bill No. 15 be read the second time by title and the third time in Pull and placed on its final passage. The roll being called on the motion, the Wote resulted, Ayes- Adam, Adams, Bardsley, Stunenberg, i," �J q 7 r Walker, Zeh. -6. Nays and absent- None. So the motion prevailed. Bill No. 15 read second time by title. Bill No. 15 read third time in_fuil and placed on its flra 1 passage. On the question, Shall Bill No.15 pass? the roll being called, the vote resulted. Ayes- Adam, Adams, Bardeley, Stunenberg, Walker, Zeb -6. Nays and absent- None. So sill No. 15-passe'd, becoming Ordinance No, 808. Bill No. 14 entitled, "An ordinance granting to the Bever River Power Company, its successors and assigns, the authority, right, privilege and franchise to conr struct, locate, erect, operate and aintain works, poles, wires, eubways, conduits, and electrical conductors, vith the necessary guards, supports, cross arms, feeders, and other necessary appurtenances and appliances for the reception into the city of Caldwell and transmission in and through the same and distribution of electricity and electrical currents, for the purposes of furnishing electricity for light, heat aid power, or other purposes, to the dty of Caldwell and the inhabitants thereof, and any other persons or corporations desirous of using the same, along, in, across, over, upon and under the streets, alleys, avenues,,lanes, and bridges and public places in the city of,0aldwell, county, of Canyon, State of Idaho, and providing for the terms and conditions under which the said authority is granted," was read the third time and placed on its final passage., On the question shall B111 No. 14 pass? the roll being called the vote rpsultedl Ayes- -Adam, Adams, Bardeley, Stunen- berg, Xglker, Zeh, -6. Nays and absent- None. Be 13111 „Nol 14 passed becoming Ordinance No. 209. Voted, on motion of Zeh, that council adjourned until M"day evening, Feburary 19, 1912, at 7s30 o'clock. Monday, Peburary 19, 1912. Council met In regualr session purguant to ad- journment with Mayor Griffiths presiding, and Councilmen Adam, Adams, Bardeley, Stunenberg, Zeh-pr esident, Shorb Clerk. Petition of H. W. Stone,et al, praying that a combine bridge and flume be con- structed across Indian Creek at Fourteenth Avenue'®as'referred to the street committee. Councilman Walker enters. Voted, on motion of Adam, that the matter of constructing not to exceed 10 road drags by A. W. Duncan be referred.to the street committee with full power to act. Voted, on ipotlon of Walker that the City of guarantee. the sum of $1500 yearly forthe support of a 8arnegie Library. Voted, on motion of Walker, that it is the sense of the council that the Porward Club be permitted to have the use of the basement of the Carnegie Library building for Club rooms. Voted, on motion of Walker, that wlth reelect-to the walk before the Parker acreage on Kimball Avenue, that the City Attorney and street committee proceed to put in the walk before the Parker aereagg in such manner that the same shall be a charge against the property. Voted, on motion of Zeh, that the matter of removing lots 15, 16, 17, and 18 of block 2, from the fire limits, be referred to the building committee for invest- igation and report.
