The Regular Monthly Meeting of the pity Council met in the Council Rooms of the City Hall, with
�I Mayor Leo J. Mason, presiding.
Upon Roll Call the following "ouncilmen answered present: Wm Olaisyer, L. E. Burrell, John !Myers, -
l Fran Blomquist, Dale Fenrich and J, M. Bettis
Thereupon Councilman Glaisyer introduced bill No 20, entitled:

THE STATE OF IDAHO FOR PUBLIC USE ,11THOUT ANY MONETARY CONSIDERATION ACCRUING TO THE CITY OF CALDNELL.
which was read for the first time and the Council proceeded to a consideration of Bill No 2D. It was moved
o, by Councilman Bettis,seconded by Councilman Burrell ti:at the rules requiring that the reading of a Bill on

three separate days be suspended and Bill No 20, be read the second time by title and the third time in fully
E section by section and placed on the final passage. The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the
I above motion with the following result: Those voting in the affirmative weret Glaisyer, Burrell, Wers,
Blomquist, Fenrich and Bettis. Negativet None. Absent and not votingt None. The Mayor declared the

motion had passed by the necessary three - fourths majority and directed the Clerk to read Bill No 20, the
second time by title and the third time in full section by section The Clerk read the Bill as directed.
The question being 'Shall Bill No 20 pass?" The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the above
question which resulted as follows; Those votiiig in the affirmative were: Glaisyer, Burrell, ifyers,
Blomquist, Fenrich and Bettis. Negative: None. Absent and not voting: None. I
Thereupon the Mayor declared Bill No 24, had passed and the Mayor in open session of the Council
duly signed and approved the uill and the Ilerk duly. signed and attested the same whi,:h became ordinance
No. 769. The Mayor directed the Clerk to make proper entry of the same and to cause Ordinance Ila 769, to
be published im the Caldwell News - Tribune the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell, Idaho.
The Mayor informed the Council this was the time set by notice for the Mayor and Council to meet �I'
as a Board of Correction to review and correct assessments of the Caldwell Municipal Irrigation System.
There was no one present for or against.
Moved b Glaisyer, seconded b Blomquist that the y ,� , y q salary of the Chief of Police be raised to :300,
in accordance with Ordinance No 748.
Upon Roll Call :it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.

Applications for Beer Licenses were read from the Sport Shop and The Eagles, the fee accompanying

Moved by Myers, seconded by Burrell that these Licenses be granted.
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously Carried.
Application for Beer License was read from Harry Fsrner, the fee accompanying the application.
This application was tabled.

Applications for Card and Pool License was read f rom Brink's Inc., and Card License from the Sport
iShop, the fee accompanying the applications.
Moved by Burrell, seconded by Fenrich that these Licenses be granted.
Upon troll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
Applications for Punch Board Licenses were readfrom Sport Shop,F• & W. Pharmacy, Valley Market, Hal
Drive Inn, Golden Pheasant Drive Inn, Paul Johnson, the fee accomparying each application.
Moved by Blomquist, seconded by Fenrich that these Licenses be granted.
Upon 'toll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
The Mayor informed the ''ouncil that A. J. Johnson member of the Zoning Board had moved from the
City.
Thereupon the Mayor announced theappointment of Coley Smith as a member of the Zoning Board, to
fill the unexpired term of A. J. Johnson.

WHERtrAS, the Council of the City of Caldwell contemplates Hue purchasing of the bonds of Local
Ili Improvement District No. 18 by he Cemetery Lot Perpetual Care Fund of the City of Caldwell,
MIEREAS, to make such purchase, it is nece =nary to liquidate $211 previously invested im
U. S. Government Donds on behalf of the Cemetery Lot Perpetual Care Tund in U. S. Government bonds; and
YIiIE:.L;AS, the City Council has the authority to invest the money of the Bond and Interest Fund of
the Citi of Caldwell, which find has in it at the present time in excess of 424,000.00; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho;
Section 1. That the City Treasurer is hereby aufnorized to sell to the Pond and Interest Fund
of the City of Caldwell, 1x24,000.00 worth of U. S. Government Bonds now owned by the Cemetery ot Perpetual

Care Fund of the City of Caldwell, for $24,000.00 in lawful money of the United States of America.
Section 2. The Treasurer of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, is ir.9t.ructed to make this transfer as
early as practicable after the passage of this resolution.
