The Council; met in regular session with Mayor Miller, presiding, Councilmen,Bollmag,S3mb:
Mumforrl, and Rowland, present, and wakes and Westoott absent.
The minutes. of previous session were read and approved.
J.J.Alldson, representing Canyon Hill residents, informed the Council that they would pi
men and temmis.on the grade leading from No.9th St. to the top of the e ater Tank Hill over tt
R.S. bitch, so as to make a uniform grade, providing the City would assist by putting their
the same. It was voted on motion of Bollman, seconded by Kimbrough, that the Mayor appoint
ee of the ` Engineer and two others to look over the same and determine what would
necessary for the same.The Mayor appointed Westoott and the Street Commissioner,C.H.Leighty,
W.H.B1unt,Past President of the Commercial Club, asked for' an' appropriation of 01000 fox
Room, stating that the same was need by all people to a great extent. It was voted on motic
Bollman, seconded by Mumford, that this Council pay the rent of the debt Room from Jan.let,
to May lstJ923,•amounting to $300.
Bill No.25 • "Entitled an ordinance repealing brdinanee No.119,entitied an ordinance provi
for a license to be paid by any person,firm, or corporation, engaged in rusm ing a hack,00aob
omnibus,automobile, or other carriage for hire, and providing a penalty for violation thereo
read for the first time.
It was voted on motion of Kimbrongh,seoonded by Rowland, that the City Attorney notify
R.R.Co. to place a saf6ty device on 5th Ave.
It was voted on motion of Bollman, seconded by Kimbrough, that that bille se approved,
and warrants ordered drawn on the various funds as foblows:

was voted on motion of Oakes, seconded by destoott, that this be referred to Committee of 3 Sao ud-
ing Mnford, for investigation,. The Mayor appointed 13umford,Oakes, and Westoott.
J.W.0 rows, Mgr ;of the Idaho Power Co., again asked the City for payment of back power for fater

Bill No.25 was read for the second time*
It was voted on =motion of 3lmbrough, seconded by destoott, that City Attorney write bond and
Hogue concerning the fdaing of Canyoh 431, as they originally promised to do.
It Was, voted on-motion of Oaken, seconded oy Kimbrough, that a vote of Thanks be given D.J. eat:.
Cott for obtaining for the City the additional property for � Park.
It was voted on motion of Kimbrough, seoonded by Oaken, that the Council approve the report f the
pinanaa Committee' recommending the proposal of hanchett Bond Co. for Bonds Jim Sewer Lateral rove -
meat District Jo.10.
The following 4gistrars were appointed for the City Wleotion to be held 24th,1923:
Urs.Cora Wooley for the First ard;2rs.A' -ma 'aaden for the Second Ward; and - 4"- MrsoA.K. g alloomy for
the Third ', °ard.
It was voted on motion of Westoott,aeoonded by Oakes, that aimbrough be agipowered to act on the
purchase of Fire supplies.
