The matter of lighting Highway U 20 from Kimball Avenue to BoisF Ave.-Me was discussed.
Moved by Ulomquist seccnded by Myers that 28 mercury vapor lights be installed and that Council—
man Bettis contact the Idaho Power Co., regarding the cost of installation and report back to the Council.
Councilman Bettis stated that the bridge across Indian Creek at Sixth Avenue was closed except
to one way traffic, also,that a bridge on Georgia Avenue was completely- out. Mr. Bettis reported that
the bridge on Cemetery Road across the DlAdt Canyon Canal had been widened from 12 feet to 20 feet.
Councilman Weick urged that adequate housing facilities for the City fire equipment be considered.
Moved by Burrell, seconded by Wars that the City Clerk be authorized to enroll as a member of
the National Institute of Municipal Clerk.
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried. _
The Council received a request from the Chamber of Commerce that Blaine Street be extended from
Seventh Avenue to Sixth Avenue. The Mayor instructed the C ity Engineer to obtain estimates on the proposed
extention of Blaine Street.
There being no further business to co-e before the Council it was moved by Councilman Blomquist,
seconded by Councilman Myers that Council adjourn to meet February 3rd, in the Council Room of the City
Hall at 8;00 P. M. Motion carried. i

Upon Roll Call the following Councilmen nnswered presents Fran Blomquist, L. E. Burrell, John
Myers, Emest Weick, Dale Fenirch and J. M. Bettis.
The Mayor informed the Council this was the time set by notice for the second meeting of the
Board of Correction to review and correct assessments of the Caldwell Municipal Irrigation System. There
was no on one present for or against.
Therebeing no further business to come before the v ouncil it was moved by "ounci.lman Fenrich,
seconded by Councilman Weick that Council adjourn to meet February hth, in the Council Room of the City
Hall at 8100 P. M, Motion carried.
